Works verry well, Excellent quality and workmanship. Made my 3018 pro a better machine I mounted a RATTMMOTOR 500W Sindle motor to it, Only disappointment is I lost some engraving area on X axis which I will recover by extending the axis and installing a longer lead screw, Don't know why they did not machine the holder to allow all the movement needed like the original holder has. Only other problem was the z axis was reversed, Easel was able to reverse that in machine set up. Overall verry please with the spindle holder, I would recommend this product.

High quality upgrade.

Overall this product appears to be well made. It is much more substantial than the stock spindle mount and the bearings appear to be higher quality - the X-axis operates much more smoothly than the stock mount. Two nice features are the Z-axis manual adjustment knob and the built-in z limit switches. As others have mentioned this is a little wider than the stock mount so you lose a little bit of x travel. The spindle appears to mount lower and farther forward than the stock mount requiring the gantry to be moved all the way to the back of the side rails (3018 Pro). With the spindle mounted lower the lower limit of the Z-axis is the bottom of the aluminum bed - if you add a 3/8" MDF spoil board your z range is about half of the physical z range. The other annoying issue is the z-axis is wired backwards - up is down, and down is up - making me wonder if this will even work in the stand alone mode without rewiring (others have indicated that Easel will fix the problem, but I haven't tried that yet.)

Not sure about the other reviews, this fit like a glove on my 3018 PRO. No modifications necessary. I definitely see an improvement using this, and upgraded to the 710W spindle which is awesome. Very happy with this purchase.

I had a plastic one and this is much more accurate

This is a well made x/z upgrade for sure. They tried to put too much into it with out upgrading the X axis to accomodate it. The 3018 is an entry machine and I expect it to be of lower standards to meet price. The 40cm Y extension is a good upgrade. For this upgrade they need to add 2 x 10mm spacers for the gantry arms, an extended drive screw and steper motor spacers to allow the x/z carraige to run the full length of the 30 cm axis with a little spare, a stronger back brace for the gantry arm and extended guide rails. The problems are: unit is too heavy so it binds at extreme x ranges if guides are tightened. Lossening them makes it work but puts slop into the run. Unit is too wide so you lose at least 10mm of cut path and closer to 20mm as there is no "make up" space outside of the spoil board area. I am not able to surface/level my waste table because the unit can't run past the spoil board with this upgrade. Without well engineered modifications to the gantry arm for X/Z travel this is a $110 paper-weight. Others have also mentioned that the bearings are of lower quality and do not apear to be replaceable. This will be a great upgrade if the manufacturer addresses these shortcomings.

Comme le commentaire ci-dessous que j'ai consulté trop tard, l'entraxe fait 72mm (pas 71 ;) ) et donc les montant verticaux de ma 3018 PRO (qui n'est pas une Genmitsu) ne correspondent pas.. donc pour rattraper les 3mm, comme ils tombent dans les trous existants, la solution que j'ai trouvé est de les reboucher à la résine, faire un gabari de percage et repercer les trous avec le bon entraxe..... (travaux en cours, je ferai une photo une fois terminé) si non le matos est clairement d'une autre qualité que la broche en plastique livrée d'origine, ca n'a rien a voir, ca sent le costaud et la finition est irréprochable, je mets donc un 5 car le fait que ce soit pas le bon entraxe n'est pas de la faute du fournisseur, d'autant que je viens de voir qu'il y avait en plus une image avec les côtes ....

Le moteur pas-à-pas de l'axe Z ne fonctionne pas.

I bought this to replace a similar, but plastic, unit that had way too much flex. It would not allow good cuts or engraving in harder materials. This unit is nice and rigid and now the CNC machine performs 500% better!

CNC--3018PROの垂直ユニットが故障したので購入しました、送りねじの挿入に手間取りましたが、付属マニュアルを参照し取付OKとなりました。Z軸方向が以前と逆なので配線1，3を入れ替えました。振動は取り換え前より小さくなりました。V溝エンドミルでの加工は改善されました。
