Yep, a rolling blind that looks good.
It looks Far better than ordinary rolling blinds! I have French doors with windows totaling about the same space as sliding glass doors. I use a valance and sheers but need a light blocking blind for the afternoon light as these all face west and I live in the hot south. These installed very very easily and look sleek because the assembly hides the ugly blind edge of regular blinds but it doesn't effect clearance. Also the bracket that holds the blinds up don't have to installed exactly at each end if you don't want to damage nice window molding edges. The whole blind clips onto the bracket but not by holding it by the edges only.Nice enclosed hard edge to the blind and not a hem with a dowel in it sliding around to break later. Smooth and quiet and if you need to tighten up the blind to adjust tension you only have to snap open the little box at the edge of the blind assembly and tighten. Not take the whole blind down and wind it.I'd had my old black out blind for many years so maybe all blinds are made this way now but it's a first for me and I'm very pleased.Although the blinds will never be seen because I have curtains over them the blind looks sleek/modern so if you have a window where the blinds will show these definitely are not an eyesore.I bought the 70" which is actually close to 2" less than my old one (oops) but since I can screw in the bracket anywhere I need it it worked perfectly because the window glass is actually 70"This blind was only ten dollars more than the ugly one I'm replacing which I bought about a decade ago. How often does That happen? If I can install them? Anyone over 5 can too :)

Where have these been all my life?
I already have really nice heavy blackout curtains on the west-facing sliding door in my second-story living room. They're great if I want the room dark during the day and for insulation in the winter, but a lot of the time I still want light in the room... just not sunlight streaming DIRECTLY into my eyeballs for hours in the afternoon! I've also been trying to find a way to better insulate the window from summer heat. (Even using lighter-color curtains, they still absorb a LOT of heat from the direct sun.) I bought two of these shades because they looked like exactly what I've been wanting, and honestly because they were the cheapest available in the size I need. I installed them today and they're PERFECT!!!!!Installation took me less than 5 minutes each. I have a huge shelf for my cats mounted above the doors so I installed the brackets onto the bottom of it rather than put more holes in the drywall. That keeps the roll up and out of the way of the curtain hooks, too. The provided screws are some of the best I've seen included with any cheap product like this. They didn't start to strip at all. Since I was putting them into solid wood, I only used one screw in the middle of each bracket and it holds fine. That way I also didn't have to worry about getting the brackets installed perfectly square with each other. The screws are self-tapping and didn't need pilot holes for softwood like the 2x12 pine shelf I mounted them to. Definitely drill pilot holes if you're mounting them in hardwood window casing, though. The only slightly tricky part of installation was that the instructions don't tell you which side of the bracket should face front. It was easy to figure out. There's one side with a slot that the metal frame fits into, then the other side has a spring-loaded release lever that you snap the frame up and into. Put the side with the larger plastic lever thing to the front so you can remove the shade by pushing the lever later if needed. I was hoping from the bracket design that I would be able to slide and tweak the positioning of the shade after installing it, but they snap in so tight that it won't move. I had to take the first one down and adjust it a bit. If you're installing the shade outside of the window (or door) frame, pull the shade down a foot or two as you're ready to snap it onto the brackets to make sure you've got it centered properly.Once they're installed, they are exactly what I needed! I'm no longer blinded by direct sunlight all afternoon but I can still see out well enough to watch birds at the feeders. I can pull them down halfway to shade me but still let my pets see out and sunbathe by the bottom of the door. They won't end up blocking the furnace/AC vent under the window (dang cats) like the heavy curtains, either! It's easy to pull them down and stop wherever you want them. When you pull down and release to retract them, they go up smoothly and slowly. Time will tell if they actually help keep the room cooler in the summer and how long they'll last.

Works
Frame had a little dimple in it, but doesn't effect performance at all. I assume it was because the packaging was, honestly, not great. Had a clear plastic box with the ends layered with tape, yet somehow still open. No stars taken away though, because it works, and no hardware was missing. It keeps out quite a bit of the heat from the afternoon sun. Was a very easy install. Keeps out I'm going to say 90% of the light that gets through the window we put it on. There's a slim gap on each side, but it's very effective for what it does cover.

easy to install, works great
got it for my garage window, easy install, works. (read instructions- slide cap off right end and tighten screw to tighten spring so blind goes up easier, if it goes too slow)

Very Nice! Quick install
I ordered (2) 23" and a 57". The short ones came quick but the longer one took about a week (still shorter than the 2 week estimate). I had bought another brand before that looks the same but I like these better. They work really smooth look good and were a breeze to install. One side note: I could clearly tell one was opened before and then returned which was a bit unexpected but everything was there so no complaints.

great blackout shade
got this for my dorm room so it wasn’t the best that this had to be drilled in because i can’t do that but i ended up using command strips and hot glued it and it stayed up! after that it was amazing

After reading other customer reviews, I ordered these shades. They arrived quickly and were well made. I installed them and wow! They are definitely very effective in blocking the bright sunlight I was getting in the room.
