Some People Learn The Hard Way!
Well, about every 2 years my car battery needs to be replaced. I can usually tell because it is shortly after the warranty expires. (LOL). So, I decided to get a battery tester so that I won't be surprised and end up stranded somewhere etc. So, recently I noticed that my car wasn't cranking strong and the horn sounded a little weaker than normal when I activated my alarm. I grabbed this battery tester and inputted the battery info and ran the diagnostics. It told me that I needed to replace the battery. I figured I could make it until Labor Day to catch the sales for new car batteries. Well, I went out to my vehicles 2 days before writing this review and my car battery was in a better place... it was dead. I should have replaced the battery like this device suggested and it would have save me a lot of inconvenience. That being said, it is extremely easy to use and is as simple as clicking a button. The only "work" you have to do is getting the battery info, which can be obtained from the battery itself. It then runs thru the tests and tells you in plain language what the status of your battery is and what course of action it recommends.I am now a believer, after learning the hard way! Good device to throw in your tool chest and do some diagnostics before extreme weather seasons hit!Great value and surprisingly accurate!

Good battery meter by Ikikin, but struggles with marginal batteries (BT60)
The BT60 battery tester by Ikikin is made in PRC (china). The BT60 does good saying a good battery is good. The BT60 did a decent job of saying a bad battery was bad (though it wanted me to charge and retest). The results were mud when it came to marginal batteries; those still able to work, but is at the point of needing replacement. I found the BT60 would say a battery needs replacement while other testers were saying the battery was still good, but barely. I found this to be in the State of Health (SoH) near 80% for this tester. Other testers read the same battery with a higher SoH. The price is a bit high for what you get.3 stars

Really came in handy!
This device really came in handy while checking the battery on my dad's truck. Only complaint I have is that I wish there were clearer instructions included. We figured out what the codes meant though and it earned a permanent place in the tool kit

Helped diagnose battery problem
This is an easy to use battery analyzer that I got just in case I ever needed it... and sure enough I started having battery problems a month later. Helped me diagnose if it was the battery or the connections.

Bad Battery Early Detection
I tested this battery analyzer on an original Sears "Diehard" battery on my old Chevy Suburban, my Ford Van and my wife's Honda Accord. The battery analyzer correctly identified the Honda's battery as new. It recommended replacing the battery on my Van calling out 606 CCA on a battery that is supposed to have 850 CCA. It also recommended replacing the battery on my Suburban. Both batteries on my Suburban and on my Van start the vehicle without issue. Both batteries pass the voltage level and load test from a Harbor Freight battery tester. What the Harbor Freight battery tester can't tell you is that the batteries are internally damaged and will eventually fail. This is where some people may not like the ikikin BT60 battery analyzer. It told me to replace two batteries that still had four months of service left on them (warm weather). Some people who depend on their vehicle to make a living will be grateful for the early warning, especially those people in colder climates. Other people will be quite upset about spending $250 on a new battery when the old one still had four months of service left. The battery analyzer also comes with a program that deeply inspects your charging system. My big complaint is that it requires pushing a button when you reach a certain RPM. If you don't have access to the throttle cable from the engine compartment you will need to find an assistant to help you. This conundrum could have been avoided if the cables to the analyzer were long enough to reach inside the cab. There is no reason for the cables to be so short other than being cheapskates.
