Looks rather nice but did have difficulty getting it to work after only two uses, I recharged (although it shouldn't have needed it) and it has worked perfectly since.

Nearly a year on and this lighter's still going strong. Good, solid beam and great battery life. Ideal for candles and incense. Saves messing around with lighter fuel or relying on cheap disposables.

I just received my candle lighter which has proven really simple and easy to use! It does make a high pitched noise when turned on but it’s bearable and I guess it’s to alert you when it’s on! There is a light at the bottom too to indicate whether it’s on or off / charging or fully charged. This does the job! Hoping it’ll last a good while and won’t have to fiddle around with matches or conventional lighters anymore :)

A very clever design. Slide a small switch on the base and a blue light shines (and other reviews say it makes a high pitched sound but my hearing aids don't pick this up). Then slide down a large slider on the barrel and two insulated prongs emerge from the bottom. A very high voltage then creates a constant electric arc between and a bit beyond the ends of the prongs. We use it mainly for lighting a gas hob. Ignition is immediate. You then need to switch it off again, but the blue light means you don't forget. Much more convenient than matches, though more clumsy than than just pressing a button on the hob (ours button has failed). The battery on our lighter failed within only10 days or so at first, but since recharging it's lasted much longer and is still going strong. Once I could not make it work and feared the battery had gone again, but my wife took over and it responded to her, and then to me.

This little guy does great at lighting candles, without needing gas to do so. So you're helping the environment, plus getting a nice stable wick-lighting tool (wind doesn't blow it out, for instance, so it's great for use outdoors if you have such a use case).

So after my initial star rating of 5, I decided to review this directly. Using it for LESS THAN a MONTH, the whole thing is useless. It will charge and turn on but no spark to use. When it worked was pretty good and very easy. I have contacted seller 2 weeks ago seeking a refund and had no response from the contact form on their web page. I am now seeking the same through Amazon directly.

I adore my candles, but it does become difficult to light them towards the end. Found this after searching around, best invention. Easy to use, uses a common charger type so ease of charging. Would highly recommend to anyone. No flame so no risk to children, and a on off switch so it cant be used accidently

Yes this is a little more expensive than gas products, but it is completely reusable and rechargeable so can keep on using it again and again. Do not have to worry about it running out which is great.

This thing is so handy and easy. It works very well for candles and for some types of incense. Thicker, heavier incense sticks take a bit more effort. I love that I don't have to deal with boxes of stick matches that break or blow out in the wind or matchbooks that scatter everywhere. Definitely is windproof even in a strong. Charges quickly and keeps its charge for a long time. Sleek. Easy. The safety features are good. If you forget to press the on/off button, it shuts down after 15 seconds. I have three types now, and find this one--one of the least expensive--works as well if not better than the models that are double the price. This one is a bit lighter weight, but I prefer that.
