Excellent grip
Really great for the icy weather and no need to remove when going into shops etc. Impressive delivery … arrived when on date given.

Great in Frost
I needed something to help on a cold frosty morning walking down a steep hill to the station! I have seen people slip on a few occasions and I have too! These are great as they give me the confidence to walk without falling. They are a bit hard to get over shoes/boots but after a bit of practice it is fine. A life saver. Would highly recommend!

Broke on first use, barely worked anyway
Broke on first use.Used them for 20 mins, when taking one off to scrape off the ice from the bottom it snapped. They don’t stay on shoes that well and come off easily. When one of my broken, the rubber snapped clean in half and was clearly not fit to be in cold temperatures.I had to wear them with trainers as they wouldn't stretch over DMs or walking boots (i got the right size for my shoe size) which was also super impractical. They did help stop me slip until they broke halfway through my journey and left me to slide home, but considering the rubber snapped after 20 mins and they wouldn’t fit over boots, it feels like a total waste of money. I paid £22 for them and regret it.

These were great...but only for one journey!
After falling over on the first patch of ice of the winter, I decided I'd best get myself something to stop further embarrassments/breakages!!I had previously owned some of these ice-grippers with the spikes on the bottom, which I found very hard to walk in (not to mention noisy!), so I went in search of something a bit less intrusive. These looked like the perfect solution - instead of spikes, they have a textured 'pad' that grips the ice and stops your shoes from slipping around on the ice.I wore these once last week in patchy ice and found them excellent. They were awkward to put on but no more so than any others like this, and they worked exactly as I wanted them to. I was able to keep them on when I got on the bus, and just slip them off when I got into work. And they came with a little pouch to keep them in, which was very handy!HOWEVER...I put them on again today to tackle another icy morning, and I thought they were working fine, until I reached the bus stop and realised I had lost one! I didn't even notice it come off, and didn't have time to go back and search for it, so I am now left with just one! I know I'd attached them as securely as I could, and they seemed to be a secure fit, so I'm quite disappointed.I would like to order another pair, as they ARE a really good product, if they would just stay on. But at almost £14 I can't really afford to be replacing them too many times!!

Good - but
Once you have taken your shoes off and wrestled to get the ice grips on, they work fine. Excellent. I bought a men's Large size for shoe sizes 7-11,but although in the middle of the size range I really struggled to get the straps on. I could not get the front strap up and over the toe of the shoe and had to resort to using the handle of a teaspoon to gradually prise it up and over. Took about 5 minutes. I endorse the good points mentioned by the 5 star reviewers, but these could be so much better if the manufacturers tackled the problems of putting them on (and keeping them on - mentioned by some reviewers). Self-locking nylon straps would be one way that they could do this.

An Essential Purchase.
Arrived very early on morning when I had doctor's appointment and was worried about long walk on icy pavements. They fitted on to my boots with no problem and I was then able to walk with no slipping and keep the grips on when reaching the surgery. I do have the grips with spikes but I am much happier with these which were recommended by a friend. The advantage of being able to keep grips on when going indoors or on to a bus is very important.

No slip ups now.
I bought a pair of these last year and I almost wore them to death. I am on the street from 5.20 am when the frost tends to be particularly hard. I am 82 and not so sure footed as I used to be. I feel very safe and sure footed when walking on these. Mine are suffering from hard wear last year and although still serviceable I am investing in a new pair this year.

Simple and definitely antislip on my pathetic wellies
Bought some expensive wellies that turned out to be life-threatening on flagstones and anywhere mildly slippy. Tried a lot of different methods but these seem the simplest and least intrusive. I’d suggest that, if you’re close to the top end of the size range and you’re using them on boots, go for the next size up.
