Smooth and warm
I have to disagree with the reviewer who said that this perfume oil smells "cheap." Attar Bazaar's perfume oils may be somewhat inexpensive, but they are definitely not cheap smelling. They are some of the best oils you can find. However, if you are used to regular perfumes, it may be a shock to your nose to first smell these particular types of scents. They are more exotic and perhaps earthier smelling than your typical Western perfumes, but they of very high quality overall. Egyptian Shalimar is no exception to that rule. It is warm, smooth, a bit ambery and powdery, with touches of vanilla and a sweet floral accord floating somewhere in the background. Yes, it smells similar to Guerlain's iconic Shalimar, but ES is more textured and has no citrusy top notes. It is quite a beautiful composition! I am wearing it now, and I can't stop sniffing my wrists. Try it if you love soft, sensual scents.

Smells Wonderful
This is a warm and complex scent. I have a problem with oils not responding well to my chemistry, but this one is very warm and sweet. It reminds me of my Grandma's Shalimar that she wore when I was a kid.
