Doesn’t work
I don’t know how the commercials had so many because this only caught one fly. I put everything possible to attract flies, even dog poo and only one after hanging for a month. Save your money

Great fly control
This is much less smelly than the fly bags! They do require fly bait and daily adding of fly bait to be effective. They really keep my barn free of flies!

Very effective, but unstable
These are very effective, but to be most effective you want a good bait. I bought a pack of fly attractant from amazon and these were catching flies the next day. This design is well thought out in the way it funnels flies from the scent into the trap. The downside. -All of them were off level, meaning the bowls holding the fly bait were at a constant angle making them more likely to spill some in a wind or if bumped. They can't hold as much liquid either. It's a bit awkward getting the bowl in and dangerous if you have already filled it. I would recommend pouring your liquid into the already in place bowl but that can be difficult depending on placement. The other downside is the bowl of attractant. It dumps more readily and due to the larger surface area will evaporate more quickly needing more refills. The bowl is smaller than most disposable fly traps , admittedly they also hold the fly carcasses, but they last longer without attention than these do, but I'm not sure they are as efficient. This concept as a fly trap is very solid and effective. These have a manufacturing issue with the bowls being on a constant angle. Other than that, I feel like the resevoir of bait is a little smaller than ideal requiring more frequent maintenance, but when the bait is fresh or relatively fresh and full, they catch a ton of flies.User advice, be sure not to hang them where taller people than you may walk and bump their heads, you know, like your husband. The fly bait is not attractive when in your hair.

Will not catch flies.
We followed the directions precisely. A rotten egg didn’t work, rotten meat, feces,… flies come to the stinky material but will not hot up into the trap.

This WORKS!
I saw a suggestion to get this to catch flies and decided to give it a try. Skeptical at first but now I’m a believer! I added fresh chicken bones and hang 2 to test. In 2 hours it catches this much, tomorrow I will add 2 more and place them around the house to make sure no flies will get in our house, now if I can catch mosquitoes with it too then it will be perfect. The reason why I’m giving this 4 stars is because the wires are very flimsy and there is no instructions whatsoever; I have to figure how to put the plate and made a mistake on f adding the raw bones in the plate first before I place it on the net, you have to place the plate first and then add whatever you want to use to attract the flies. I read the raw and or the stinkiest the better to attract them. This will be a huge help this summer coz I hate having this flies inside our house. Will definitely buy again!

Hanging and bait
I love that it is easy to dump them .But word of caution, make your own hanger , or they will not hang straight.I used some plastic covered wire , similar to what comes on bread , wrapped around under the gather at the top , made a loop and hung them , I use starbar bait .

Scent of honey not working, should have first bait included
Catch flies, hasn’t yet.

Not effective
Tried several different locations and types of bait. These caught nothing while the sticky roll traps caught hundreds of flies inside the same barn
