How high are the risers ?

Each step is just under 11 inches.Is that what you wanted to know?

What is the length of the pieces that mount to deck? There is a gap from pool to deck that couldn't be avoided but i still need the steps to connect.

I have not put the steps in pool yet

Do the handles remove easily so you can cover the pool over the winter or do you need to remove the steps entirely?

The directions say it should be removed. The assembly was simple and I am very happy with them. They do require 50 pounds of sand to fill the frame so they do not float. I will be taking mine out. Hope this helps.

I have a 55" deck would this work?

Yes it will work. My deck is 51” with plenty of room to go on ladder
