They dim.
The product does dim the lights significantly but does not completely block them, some brighter lights require two or more stickers to dim effectively. Thankfully you get plenty of sticker so if need be you can double up or more.

Does not block lights.
They are very thin and transparent. One of the stickers does not block the light. It takes at least 3 for a small light and even then you can still see the light.
