A must for your hospital bag
I cannot recommend this product enough! This helped me through my contractions with zero pain relief. It also got me through a c section by calming my nerves and giving me something to focus on. Anyone that has been through a c section will know that the spinal gives you the shakes, this little device helped with all of that. It was so good they had to prise it out of my hands once my baby was delivered. For the price it really is something I would recommend for everyone. The quality of the wood is great. In fact I would probably order 2 and have one for each hand. If I have a second baby in the future this will be the first thing I pack in my hospital bag.

Good product, Many uses.
Very good idea - i Use it to help keep me calm in stressful situations so that I am thinking about the sensation in my hand rather than the whatever situation Im in. I was sceptical about it after a nurse recommended it but it definitely helps. Feels like nice material as well, its very smooth.

Buy it!
I used this during the last stage of labour when I couldn't use my tens machine anymore. It was a mix of this and gas and air, and I would definitely recommend this. It actually helped me so much. It's like the same feeling of biting down your hand when you're in pain, the pain goes to your hand as opposed to where the pain actually is. It doesn't take the pain away it just distracts.

It didn’t work for me but the product was quality
For such a cheap price it’s not a bother. Unfortunately this method did not work for me- rather i threw this bad boy across the room. However, it is well made and very much worth tucking away in your hospital bag as it takes up no space. It didn’t work for me but it might for you

Good quality
I used this comb during labour as an alternative to pain medication and was genuinely surprised by how helpful it was. The pressure from squeezing it gave me something to focus on during contractions and really helped take the edge off the intensity at the start of labour. I didn't get to use it the whole way but for the start is was a great tool to have and worth the space in the hospital bag. It’s simple but effective, and easy to hold.

A Labour Tool Worth Trying
Induced (and fast) labour, extreme contractions. I started using this just before my waters went at around 4cm dilated.I actually can't tell if it helped at all, as my labour was very intense and not much really was helping. After maybe 10 minutes, I lost this somewhere in the hospital bed and I still don't know what happened to it to this very day. However, it's robust and made from a very nice wood. It's not too thin, nor too thick, and it fit in my palm quite nicely given that I have smaller than average hands. The spines aren't sharp, but they do have a "dig in" feel to them, which is likely intentional to redirect the brain (lol, redirect the brain during labour pain...) I enjoyed using it in early labour as I could feel it and was channeling a lot of my energy into using it, which I do think had a bit of a placebo effect, but did help if only a bit. It was, unfortunately, useless once the contractions kicked up in intensity, but this could be due to my individual circumstances. It was a very inexpensive purchase, but I do wonder if these are often discarded afterwards due to their marketed use, so I doubt it's very environmentally friendly. Ideally I'd have kept this for either a future birth, or given to my partner who has a beard.Hopefully it works for others, but I doubt I would purchase again as I held more onto the bed rails than anything else.

Got me through childbirth
I used this as pain relief during my first childbirth and it was really good. I had natural vaginal birth without any painkiller medication like epidural. I would definitely recommend this to other pregnant women if they are looking for more natural ways to give birth.
