My calf is 43cm what is the best size for me L or XL thank you

I had a similar dilemma on 43cms so I got both sizes. The truth is that it depends how much compression you think you require. The L I find gives me the support and comfort I need and can be worn all day if necessary. I tried the XL and decided although it was fine on that the L offered the slightest bit more compression. I say this also by stating that it was in no way tight and uncomfortable. If I was you go for Large.👍

My calf measures 16 1/2in what would be the best size ?

16 1/2in falls into the large of 15 - 17in. Therefore we'd recommend a large.

It it machine washable?

I think they recommend hand washing. I did wash mine in machine before I read instructions and it was fine, but been handwashing since then.
