Poor man's andirons
Needed andirons because logs kept rolling down to the front of the fireplace, but andirons are stupid expensive. I have a fireback with very similar stands to these, so I just but these in front of those stands so the high end is facing front and they work beautifully! No need for a grate at all. No more rolling logs. No more worrying about paying way too much for andirons. These are tougher, sturdier, and lower profile so you can enjoy the fire more!

Holds up Fireback wonderfully!!
These are SOLID supports for the fireback!! They can handle the weight (mine is 54lbs). Only thing is it's so difficult now to clean the ashes after a fire. Takes me much longer, but all in all it's worth it. I personally feel these supports are way overpriced, but what can you do?

Great fit
Very heavy duty. My fireback is large and over 150 lbs. these handled it with no problems.

Too big
Item too tall for my fireplace.

Picture does not do them justice.
We were quite surprised at the weight and how substantial these were. It will definitely hold the fireplace backer in place. We really like the idea of not placing the fireplace backer on the floor of the firebox.

Had to return it though....
Very heavy and sturdy but had to send it back because when we put the iron fire back into them, the fire backs were too tall for the fireplace! We will have to have the fire backs concreted into the fireplace, which is sure to cost us more than these feet. Also, since they are very heavy, return postage was expensive - almost not worth it!

Overkill
The are okay but overkill for their purpose. Due to the size, I found them to be difficult to use. I only kept these because at the time the small feet were on back order.

Solid Accessory
I'm not able to rest a fireback directly on the floor of the hearth because it would block the door for the ash dump. Also considered just propping it up on a couple of bricks, but this is a better looking and more stable solution. The tab pieces are a little wonky to get set right, but do what they're supposed to do in holding the fireback upright.
