If you're an S550 Mustang owner and you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of having a heavily corroded negative battery terminal cable you found the right part here. The negative battery terminal here is a direct factory replacement being exactly the same as the negative battery terminal originally installed by Ford at the factory. Save yourself some money and forget the dealership. Installation is simple. Fitment is perfect and the negative battery terminal functions great. Don't overtighten the screws! -Before you install this replacement terminal it's a great idea to spray the entire assembly down with some battery protector corrosion spray and put some grease on all metal parts as well. The S550 Mustang is notorious for getting heavy corrosion on the battery terminals. This includes the GT 500. Save yourself the trouble of being stranded somewhere with your battery terminals falling apart by keeping your battery terminals sprayed with protectant. Also be careful getting the plastic battery cover off. The plastic push pins that hold the cover in place break easy so be gentle getting them out. Here's the part number in case you need new clips.
