Spring Step Women's Waevo-b-w Uniform Dress Shoe

Very stiff and narrow

This is the third pair of shoes I've bought from Spring Step so I felt pretty confident about the size I ordered, 9 Wide. So much so that I let the return window lapse before wearing them. Waveo non-slip rubber sole is nice and grippy and provides same the shock absorption as the Spring Step Manila. Like the Manila it won't be long before replace the foam insoles an after market shoe insert to combat foot fatigue. I have EXTREMELY flat feet. The Waveo looks slightly dressier than my old Manilas, the sides seem higher and I'm trying to get used to my foot feeling more closed in and covered up, if that makes any sense. Unfortunately the back of the Waveo is also higher and has an inward curve to it. I imagine this helps keeps a person's heels in the shoe, unfortunately it also rubs against my Achilles tendon. The shoes as is are find for short trips to the market but I fear a couple eight hour shifts on concrete floors will find the back of my ankles rubbed raw.
