Wonderful beginner screen printing machine and great price. I've made tens and tens of tshirts with no problem. Easy to install and operate. I would buy it again.

This thing is really impressive for the price, though it does have a few drawbacks. Assembly is not too difficult, but takes some time because there are a lot of parts. You will want to use some real wrenches instead of the stamped junk that comes with it. Build quality of the machine is actually pretty good. Setup is key to getting good results, if you don't already know how to set it up or you have no mechanical sense you are going to struggle. There is no adjustment for front/back tilt on the frame clamps. This is probably the biggest problem with the machine. There are some workarounds, but it's a real paint to get it set up so all four frames sit parallel to the platen with equal off-contact. There are no micro adjustments for registration of different colors, it's difficult and time consuming to get your frames lined up properly. Once set up though, repeatability is very good. With the thrust bearings in the arm pivots and the guide rollers properly adjusted there is zero movement when the arm is down. There's more flex in the aluminum screen frames than there is in the machine itself. The larger plastic guide rollers are completely unnecessary, you can leave them loose or omit them completely. The smaller metal roller bearings are all that's needed. I just did my first multi color shirts tonight. I didn't get perfect color registration, but it was due to my own error. All of the shirts came out with the exact same offset. I've done a lot of single color shirts, print flash print, with perfect registration every time after lifting and lowering the screen. I've still got a lot to learn, but I think this is a great starter press if you want to get into multi color printing at the lowest cost possible. Learn how to set it up properly, have some patience, and you can get some great results.

I read a lot of the other product reviews before buying this single screen setup. Background, I have a lot of experience as a welder, fabricator, mechanic, and as an artist and used to have a 4 screen rig before it got stolen. This thing is AWESOME. ESPECIALLY for the price. It took me about as long to set it up and calibrate for the screen and shirts as it did to assemble it. I wouldn’t make any design changes. Now….. if you are not mechanically inclined, I would have somebody else put it together. It’s best if you have a cordless drill, cordless impact, and a wrench and socket set. I would definitely not try putting this thing together with the tools supplied. I actually only chased out the smallest holes with my tap and then got lazy and didn’t have any trouble with the threads on the larger holes. There was one manufacturing issue that I was surprised that it passed QC, one of the tubular steel pieces had a split as shown in the photo.

I was worried about all the negative reviews regarding missing parts and difficulty assembling it, but I was surprised and got it all together in about an hour! I wasn't missing any parts, and the instructions were a little bit convoluted but still easy to follow as long as you consult the parts guide on the back. I will say though, you may want to unscrew out the long screws on the part I circled in the picture that I included with my review before you attach them to the springs. These adjust the spring tension. I saw some reviews saying it is difficult to use the press without clamping or bolting it down to a table. Pulling these out will make the tension looser and reduces the amount of recoil you get when pulling the arm back up from the shirt board! Overall I'm very excited to put it to use. I will update my review if I have any problems with it, but so far so good! Edit: Been putting it to use and it works perfectly! I wish I had invested the extra money and gotten the one that can hold four screens, I will have to save up for it now. I wanted to add another tip to my review. Add painters tape to the shirt board edges! I saw some reviews mention how a shirt will catch on the rough edges of the board when sliding it on, this was easily remedied for me with the tape! The tape won't get in the way of anything as long as you put it on evenly and smooth it down flat!

If you plan on doing multiple colors, don't get this press thinking "I won't have the same issues, I can fix it". I unfortunately stubbornly thought that, and this thing was more trouble than it was worth. Not only do you have to follow video guides that people have generously supplied on YouTube because the instructions are so unhelpful, but because each piece is built inconsistently you will have a unique and frustrating experience when using this thing. The main issues I had were 1. the stock springs were so tight, when I was able to actually get them where they needed to be they made the screen arm fling backwards like a catapult because there was so much tension (even when installed "correctly") and I had to go to a local used hardware store to find new springs. 2. The off contact between the screen and the platen was almost an entire 1.5+ inches, so I had to buy sheets of metal for fence posts to bring the off contact to somewhat of a reasonable height. Of course that creates its own issue where the platen is less sturdy. 3. Registration may as well be impossible, even if you spend an hour making sure your screens are perfectly measured. The pieces of this press are cheap and not consistently made so every arm you install will have different measurements all on their own. Long story short, don't make my mistake. Put the cost of this press towards a Riley Hopkins Jr. and save yourself the headache. No matter how cheap it is, it's too much. I would return it if I hadn't already built the thing.

This machine works good for the price. Reason for the 3 stars: took a little bit to get it assembled. The springs and turnbuckles easily can get disconnected if you lift the arms up too high. I wish they had eye loops to connect rather than hooks. It was a little confusing at first to figure out the configuration of the turnbuckles and springs, but once we got that figured out it worked good. When using we put parchment paper on top of the board before sliding the shirt on to prevent the residual ink from the previous shirt transferring to the inside of the next shirt. It did woke good and make printing much more consistent. Been making shirts for past 6 years,and this made the alignment and setup much quicker!

I was nervous about this machine because the reviews were kind of mixed, generally speaking. I have two reasons why I’m writing this review. I almost didn’t buy this machine because people said it was really hard to put together and that it wasn’t the quality they were expecting. This is my second screen printer. I had a really old, but super hefty, American built screen printer before this. I sold it for $500 and bought this one because it had no adjustments and it was huge. It was a six color machine, but it just didn’t have the micro adjustments to do that. It also weighed three zillion pounds. Ugh When I opened the box: right away I realized this is high-quality and way under priced. Having had a high-end machine before, I had a pretty good understanding of what I needed. Other than the wheels not being rubber and the spring adjustments being weirdly small, this is a better machine than my $500 machine. Flat out. Both of those things can be upgraded for little to nothing. This is the main reason I wrote this review: if you are worried about building instructions, do not be. I don’t know if previous orders were sent out without them… or what, but this was straight up easy to put together. If you ever played with Legos as a kid, you can handle this. It’s rated at 5-9 years old imo. I have no idea why people say the directions are bad. They even separated hardware based on the steps they were associated with. Who doesn’t put hardware all in one bag to save time and handling fees? That is extremely thoughtful. The directions were in color and in English. I put it together in 30 minutes with no issues at all. It was packaged well. It looks great. If it’s not printing accurately, you didn’t take the time to use its many adjustments. I, 10 out of 10, would recommend this screen printer to anybody who can’t afford a Riley Hopkins, or to anyone who is just starting out. It’s hefty, the hardware is great, they absolutely stick to their corny modo.

This machine is a great entry point into t-shirt based screen printing. Having used this device for nearly a year now there are small aspects which I had to learn to work with, but overall the exceptional gains this provides versus trying to do t-shirt prints by hand is unbelievable. The small investment into this machine versus the significant time and stress savings of trying to screen print without this tool makes it a no-brainer.

For a manual I love it. Here’s some Tips and tricks: Once you build it you’ll know all you need to know about it. You’ll know when its not working and why. - I haven't stuck mine down to the table because I need to be able to move it into storage from time to time. This can at times be shown in the weight and pressure put on the prints. I’ve simply put a masking tape roll under the black pole that that board is fixed to. - If your print are coming out thick on one side and thin on the other its not you and your lack of balanced pressure. It’s because the board isn’t flat straight. Use your phones measure true and balance your phone on the board to check its straight. - screw everything tight except the springs that needs to be able to go up and down freely but not too freely that it drops on you. - for kids shirts cut one of the boards and smooth out the corners so you don't cut shirts or worse yourself. - Again for balance put a roll of masking tape under your board beneath the black pole so when you print it doesn’t bounce and your pressure isnt in vain. - if you don’t have a heat flash machine use a domestic heat press. Unscrew the top of it using one of the tools from this machine so that it hovers just above your shirts. - CHECK THE SCREENS YOU ARE BUYING. The sizing, the mesh type it will all tell you if it will cover your shirts and if it will work with your ink. - test everything before you do the real thing on the shirts, practice the prints. - you don’t always have to use emulsion you can also use premium vinyl social media will show you.

Everything is adjustable when you’re a welder / machinist ;) Ultimate hack is just not using the bearings and just using the plastic wheels that register the square tubing. Those tabs on the arms are not straight, centered, etc.
