This is for a gift and I don`t drink coffee. Does it use filters? Can you also reccomend a coffee to buy?

No filter used. Espresso beans from local roastery or finer grocers ! To appreciate the gift the giftee must not be the push a button and go type. Pulling an attention to detail and hands on espresso takes no more than 3 minutes - including clean up. Cappuccino or latte takes another 1.5 minutes max.

Do I have to grind beans everytime I want to make an espresso or can I just fill the bean container and it automatically grinds?

The bean grinder is an additional appliance (as this being an all-in-one set, we had to include it!). You cannot fill the portafilter with beans that are not ground. You can always purchase your beans already ground if you do not want to use the grinder each time also! The bean grinder however only takes 20-30 seconds to finely grind them.

Does water come into contact with aluminum at any time?

The water does not come into any contact with aluminum at any time. The machine is 100% BPA-free and is in accordance with all guidelines and absolutely 100% FDA-approved.

How many cups can the machine make before it overheats? I want to use it in my coffee sales business

This is in no way a commercial grade machine. It will not suffice at a coffee shop
