Well worth the price.
Misplaced my existing setup, needed a replacement quickly.Had it at my door in under a week, from box to spinning frames in maybe 5 minutes.Pros: main body is solid, all parts go together well. Form and function.Gear ratio seems nicer than the one it replaced, less crank at the handle for more speed in the barrel.4 frames fit well enough, 2 brood or 4 super.Cons: legs are a bit flimsy, they are holding at the minute but don’t like the flex they are showing. I will likely get some plywood to fasten this down too before next harvest. The slots for the brood frames are very tight, could have a little more tolerance designed in.Small gripes on my part, well worth the money and should last me a while. Would buy again without hesitation.

This Extractor is well made!
The cheapest one BUT it is the best made I found! The legs are sturdy, the hardware is heavy duty. Spins in both directions (some do not). Easy assembly. All food-grade 18-10? stainless steel.

Okayest extractor
Showed up as described and adequately packaged, without damage.Requires cleaning before first use. I also cleaned out the grease and ball bearing and replaced the grease with a food grade since there was no documentation on what the factory installed grease is. The grease and ball bearing are in the center nut/socket at the bottom of the barrel.Basket is too high on the center rod, so frame ears hit the cross brace that the gearbox is mounted to. You can put two western frames in the basket deep frame pockets. Also you can cheat up the bracket by adding nuts to the bolts under the bracket. The basket being too high also exacerbates the air vortex that pushes fine honey droplets up and out of the barrel. The clear plastic lids help reduce, but not fully mitigate this. Not using the covers will get you and your work area covered in a fine honey mist. Also the lids are fully detached/gravity held, so I might use painter tape to tack them onto the gear bracket next extraction.Legs, honey gate hole, and weld spots are sharp, recommend extreme caution or some light sanding/buffing.Only other issue is the lower hole for the honey gate is not centered between the legs. Since gate hole is about 1/2 from bottom of the barrel, tilting the barrel on the two legs gets some residual honey out through the gate hole. Need a partner, or balancing act, to fully invert to drain the barrel for the last several ounces. Using a spatula helps.Overall fine, and satisfied. Reduced 1 star to 4 because the basket welded too high on the shaft for clearance.

Fasntastic extractor for reasonable price
Wow! I am impressed. The cages are perfectly balance for ease in spinning. The centrifugal force that it exerts is amazing. Three Langstroph frames takes about three minutes.Only drawback that I had was a had some plastic based frames that didn’t fit well. The wooden frames were a breezePouring the honey into the sieves (also on Amazon) was super easy. I just tilted the extractor at an angle to get the last drop. The extractor is very sharp, inexpensive, and sturdy. They legs come off for easy storage.

Inexpensive starter honey spinner.
It worked well for a dozen frames. Good for small bee keepers.

Spinning is hard on the hand. Buy an electric model!
Working the machine is very hard on the hand. You gotta put some ass behind those spins to extract the honey. I’ll buy an electric one next time!

Hopefully, one of the gates I've ordered will work on this extractor because what is included will not. Will NOT seal to drum.**This gate works** Harder plastic with a few extra threads to tighten and secure. I used the O-ring that came with the original packed gate on the inside of barrel. Functional, no leaks.https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07P5C3S5Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleIt slings honey, gate is over 1 1/2" above bottom of barrel and will require tipping unit to flow out, about 2 frames of honey worth. I have no confidence the "feet pads" will retain integrity, exceptionally small spotwelds. This units Original rating was before 1st use, and because there is no 1 1/2 stars, It stays the same.

good extractor for the price
This extractor is a great value! It was easy to put together. All of the rotating components look to be strong enough that I will get years of use out of them. Its not so heavy that its hard to put back into the box for storage. I am of the opinion that if you are looking for a budget friendly extractor to use a for a few hives this will serve you well.
