IYV, 5-String bass, Nature (IBSY-500)

Defective Clear. Blushing from moisture or chemical reaction to sealer? There is something (tan colored) in or under the clear in areas that completely obscures the wood grain. On this model the wood grain is what it is all about. Horns (both upper and lower bouts are very cloudy) as well as other areas. Notice in the fourth photo the very small area along the edge that is shiny (without the blush). Doubtful that anything short of sanding off the clear and respray will take care of it. Didn't even uncover the strings. Very disappointed. Sending it back.Oh, and IYV isn't packing these well. I purchased three IYV basses in the past twelve months and they all had foam glued inside the carton to limit movement of the bass during handling. I bought two of these, both delivered in March 2025, they were both packed with nothing more than loose pieces of flat cardboard and foam. Both guitars tore through the shipping box. It is amazing that there wasn't shipping damage.
