Does what it is supposed to do.
I only had a handful of these weeds growing up through two layers of landscaping felt covered by rocks. Roundup wouldn't kill them. Used Sedgehammer Plus and like the others have said, they were dead in a couple weeks. The first week it didn't look like there was any effect but the second week they looked like they were dying and beginning of the third week they were completely dead. I only had to do the one application.

Excellent Product This will solve your sedge nut problem in 1 week.
I've been using this product for 2 years, and it does exactly what it claims. I had a really bad infestation. Almost a 1/3 of my lawn was covered in sedge back in 2010. I had no idea what it was. I was pulling it out, which just made it worse. I discovered Sedgehammer in 2011. This saved my lawn. The price has dropped since then, but I noticed they raised the shipping cost. It should not cost $10 to ship such a small package in the mail. I do not like sellers that do this. There are a few things you must do for success. 1. Wait to apply the product 3 days after you mow the lawn. This gives the sedge leaves a chance to grown. 2. Make sure it will not rain for at least 4 hours. My first time using the product, it rained after 3 hours, and the product still did the job. 3. Mix as directed. Do not add any other chemicals to mix. I have tested this product mixed in a 1 gallon and 2 gallon water solution, and I achieved the same results. 2 gallons of water allowed me to cover a wider area. 4. Spray on the sedge plant leaves. no need to apply to the ground. The chemicals are absorbed into the leaf, and will make it's way down to the nut, and kill the plant, root and nut. 5. The plant takes a while to die. You may not see anything for 7 days. Eventually you will see the plant die. NEVER PULL THE PLANT OUT OF THE GROUND. This will turn one plant into 5 or more, because the nuts will stay in the ground, and sprout their own new plant. 6. Do not mow lawn for at least 3 to 4 days. 7. Mow the lawn. You will notice the sedge will not outgrow the grass. This is how you know it's working. I recommend buying enough for a second application. There may be nuts that did not sprout during the first application, and will pop up a few weeks later.

This is the Only Stuff That Works
This is the only nutsedge targeted herbicide that I've found that actually works. After about a week to four weeks the sedge is GONE, and hasn't come back! Everything else I've tried has only weakened the sedge, and it always crawls back. This stuff, BOOM! Gone.
