Cat Scratch Deterrent Spray, 8 oz

I have the world’s scratchiest cat. Love her to death but she and I moved in with my partner and kitty went about destroying the fabric dining room chairs and my partner’s favorite living room chair. Can’t believe it took me months to think of looking for a spray. I sprayed all the scratched surfaces (does smell nice and the smell fades quickly) and the result was instant—no more scratching AT ALL (though she still sits on the chairs, which is good). After 10 days I saw her scratch once, so sprayed everything again. I think the bottle will last for months at this rate—a good deal for 8 bucks. I get that it doesn’t work for all cats, which is a bummer. Definitely thought it wouldn’t work for us, but it seems we got lucky. Wish they made a spray for begging at the dinner table like a damn dog ;-)

This spray did not keep my cat from destroying our chairs. I saturated 2 chairs with this, it didn't stop her! Now my chairs smell weird on top of being tore up Don't waste your money!

I have had cats all of my life and usually these types of things are a hit or miss - I think it really depends on the cat sometimes. The scent to me is actually really nice. I sprayed this on an accent chair and sofa (I would suggest a spot test for some materials just to make sure) and the scratching slowed down. After a few applications every 5 days or so it started to work better and my cats have almost completely stopped scratching on the furniture. This is not going to be an instant thing or an overnight miracle but if you are consistent it could really help. Like I have said sometimes this can be a hit or miss (when I was younger I have had cats where none of the sprays worked) but this seems to be doing the trick. So Happy!!!!

Bottle leaks when you try to spray, got the chemical all over me every time. Spread it in the areas that my cats would scratch but they still seemed to scratch my furniture still.

Pleasant potpourri scent for the humans. Seemed to keep most of the cats (2 of 3) away from the couch. I will say that for the high price, the quality of the spray bottle should be much better. The original leaks every time it's used. Suggest pouring contents into a Dollar Tree bottle for ease of application.

Normally my cat does not bother furniture, but I recently purchased a daybed with cloth on it in the room he likes to hang out in and he thought I bought him a giant scratching post. Thank you Amazon for your quick shipping because it saved my new daybed. I did have to reapply after a couple of weeks. But while the scent is fresh, he doesn't touch it

My kittens love to scratch and it seems no matter how often we cut their nails, they seem to scratch furnature anyway. I bought this to help and it does on some furnature but the texture almost needs to be rubbed in as if it is too thick for a spray. This may be part of the problem because I have to rub it in after, but it also does not seem to last very long for the effect. It's ok for short term but but a long term solution.

My cat was going absolutely insane on my couch. This genuinely stopped her, I was hesitant with some reviews, but trust me my 8 month old stops with this. The only comment I have is that it’s a very strong scent and it doesn’t smell the greatest. I would recommend this to all cat parents, easy to use just have to reapply every once and awhile, but the scent doesn’t stick forever!

I was very sceptical but so far so good ,my little terror has not as yet ripped my new lounge.Fingers crossed it keeps working 😊🤞

We have a cat who always scratches on the wrong things. We moved and she started scratching on our brand new carpet and I was desperate to save it. Sprayed a bit of this spray on her favourite spot (the top steps) and lo and behold! She stopped scratching immediately. She didn’t try again for 2 whole weeks, and then I reapplied and she’s been avoiding them again. Works amazing especially considering she used to scratch there every 10 min before! Smells a little like tea tree oil and cloves so not a bad smell, and the smell dissipates quickly. Best $10 ever spent - telling all my friends who have cats about this I also used this brand’s catnip spray on our cat’s new scratching post and she’s been m using it ever since instead of the steps, so I recommend using both sprays together for max effect

Did not work at all for 4 cats. 1 cat started scratching the area the day after it was sprayed and all 4 cats have played and slept on the area within 24 hours of spraying. It may work for your cats as other reviews have indicated but the essential oils seem to only have attracted my cats to the area more. The spray stream comes out quite strong and doesn't have a wide and fine spray so when using on fabric/linens it can leave blotchy marks (we tried on a blanket). The smell wasn't too offensive to me as some other reviews have indicated but it definitely does leave an essential oil type smell so if you are sensitive to those types of smell you may not enjoy this product.
