Works for PS5 Pro with Samsung Spinpoint
Used this enclosure with a Samsung Spinpoint that’s been sitting in my closet since I bought the PS5, originally used it for PS4. At first it didn’t work when I plugged it in so had to hook it up to my laptop and format it to ‘exfat’ in the disk manager, which is annoying as hell to get there. Anyway, when I finally found it there were a whole bunch of partitions and clicked on the one that said 186gb as it’s a 2tb drive and had to erase the og data and was able to reformat. Am a happy customer with a new 2tb external drive for my PS5 Pro and can now gift my 2tb external hard drive I was using to my bro for his birthday.

Works perfect, good quality for value.
Works great. Good for hot-swapping drives. Not hard to setup, and straight forward ease of use. This is a more stable replacement than my old HDD transfer that has multiple connections on a PCB, including a connection for SCSI HDD's, but I no longer have that anymore. This is good if in a pinch and data transfer is not bad. Also good for stress-testing drives, ran I/O to a drive i'll be using for main system, ran a stress test through this no problem using IOmeter, however doing any large file compares the drive will spin down or go idle, because power to the SATA may not be as efficient as being in a rig. Other than that, no biggie, it is a good enclosure for the job :)

It worked!
I was skeptical about this when I bought it but it seemed worth a try. I was even more skeptical when I opened the box to this “tool-free” item and saw a small screwdriver and bag of screws. However, I placed my drive in the case as directed, plugged it in and turned it on and it worked beautifully. I still don’t know what the screwdriver was for, but I didn’t need it. I don’t know that I will keep this connected to my computer, but it allowed me to copy anything I hadn’t backed up from my old computer when it died.

Works well, has some minor design annoyances
Pros: Easy to put everything together, seems to work well.Cons: Difficult to know if the drive is properly inserted onto the power/data connectors. Has both a power switch AND a power button, must use both in sequence to turn it on. The power button also has a bright white LED that indicates both powered-on and disk-access, so it flashes constantly when in use. The bright flashing light is thoroughly annoying in a dark bedroom when trying to sleep and the only way around it is to put something opaque on top of the enclosure to completely block the LED.

It just works. Sabrent is becoming a quality company.
All I can say is that it works. I have had no issues after six months of use. I actually now own two of these. I use one on my PC for backups and transfers. I use the other on my TV for a rudimentary media center. Read and write speeds are platform dependent but for me, they are on par with my internal drives. My experience with Sabrent, is that they are becoming a decent electronics company.

Plug and Play your Extra Digital/Optical Storage Securely and Safely
In the old days I owned a device that you could plug a SATA drive into and connect through a USB connection. With all of the improvements in storage tech since then I was hoping to find just the device built by Sabrent. I works like a charm and the instuctions were super easy. It even includes a spare lock for your digital drive in case you ever lose the existing one. I like this one because it's all self-contained and not subject dust or environmental accidents. High marks for this product and it was one of least expensive of it's type which means it's value exceeded it's cost.

Easy to use, straight forward process, retrieved photos and docs I thought were lost
Very easy to use. Straight forward process. Plug and play. Well worth the investment. My Dell desk top completely died and after 1 month of various attempts to reboot the system, I pulled the hard drive and ordered the Sabent in hopes of retrieving photos and documents. (videos online show how to pull a hard drive from a pc very easy) The hard drive slides easily into the dock, I attached the usb cable to my HP desk top, plugged in the power adapter and there it is. As hoped, the drive came up in "This PC" on my HP desk top. I was able to access my albums, photos and docs from the Dell hard drive. Then copy and paste to "new albums" in docs and photos on my HP. Painless. Do not be afraid to try this. If you have created new folders, copied and pasted photos or docs into folders, you can do this. You do not have to be a computer wiz.
