Unlike most erotic photography that seeks to catalyse desire through the visual, in Callahan and Weston we find the extremely unique case of desire made image - the photographer portraying the person he loves. Review: A little speculation here, but nice printing. - Very nice printing, a few images I haven't seen before as well. The comparison between the two artists and some of the conclusions are a little bit of a stretch. I would like to see the author provide some support for some of her speculation concerning the artists intent. Some of the images that were discussed weren't in the book, I suppose the author ran out of funds for additional copyrights? I bought my copy used and I'm satisfied, but wouldn't have been so happy at the full price. Review: edward Weston & Harry Callahan: He, She, It - The book failed to meet my expectations. I wanted a picture book with lots of photos but instead it mostly contained a description of the artist's techniques and how the were similar and dissimilar. desertcart's description was insufficient.
