I didn’t realize how much my old pillow was betraying me until this glorious cloud of customizable comfort entered my life. The Coop Home Goods Original Cut-Out Pillow is basically the therapist my neck has been begging for. First off, the adjustable fill? Genius. I felt like a sleep scientist removing and adding foam until I hit that “just right” level—Goldilocks would be proud. The cut-out design is perfect for side sleeping, and my shoulder finally has a place to exist without filing a complaint. No more waking up feeling like I lost a wrestling match in my sleep. The medium-firm support is spot-on. It’s supportive without feeling like a brick, and soft without collapsing into a sad pancake. Also, it somehow stays cool, which is great because I run hotter than a July afternoon in Arkansas. Bonus points for being CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold certified—so I can sleep easy knowing I’m not inhaling anything weird while I drool on it (let’s be honest, it happens). After just a few nights, I noticed less neck stiffness and fewer middle-of-the-night wakeups. Now I actually look forward to going to bed… which is something my younger self would never believe. If your pillow is ruining your life in small, annoying ways—do yourself a favor and upgrade. Your neck will thank you. Your sleep will improve. And you might even stop making that old-man groaning sound every time you get out of bed. 5 stars. Would nap again immediately.

I liked this pillow so much that I ended up ordering a second one for another room. That’s probably the best review I can give it! It’s incredibly comfortable and has made a noticeable difference in how well I sleep. I’ve also found that it gives my neck the support it needs, and I wake up with much less neck discomfort than I was having before. I’m pretty picky about pillows because I can tell almost immediately when one isn’t working for me. This one was a winner from the start. It’s comfortable without feeling like my head is sinking into it, and I really like the support it provides.

I was skeptical of spending this much money on a pillow, but so far I'm glad I did. It's very comfortable, and the shape does seem to help. I injured my neck/shoulder years ago, and I would wake up 1-2x per week heading slept wrong making my neck and shoulder stiff and painful in the morning. This pillow has so far prevented that. This pillow has also significantly reduced my snoring, according to both my Samsung watch and my wife. I'm a side sleeper. This pillow can be as firm or soft as you want since you can add or remove filling. It comes with a bag of extra filling just for that. I wouldn't say its cooling, but it certainly isnt too warm either. And I'm someone who sleeps hot. All in all, I'd buy it again.

I received my pillow and have slept on it for 3 nights. The first night I removed some fill and while it didn't cause neck pain, the comfort was ok. The second night I removed a bunch more fill and think I have found my sweet spot. I'm a side sleeper and this pillow is super comfortable (with one issue noted below). I think for me it is the cut-out section. That part of my pillows in the past, most of the time, gave me neck pain. Not with this pillow! I will also add that even though I took out a good portion of the fill, the pillow has not flattened out. The one glaring issue that really should be addressed, why I gave 4 stars and is mentioned by a good portion of reviewers is the heat that radiates from the pillow. The fill is packed in there so tightly that air cannot flow at all. I removed a good portion and that helped me plus I put a satin pillowcase of my own on the pillow since (to me at least) those feel somewhat cooler. Maybe adding some strategic holes in the pillow would help but that could add to flattening. I think the COOP folks should really try something to address this issue. I did purchase the "cooling" pillowcase made for it but reviews have not been great so I will be returning that. The price is a bit steep too but if it helps to get a better night's sleep, worth it in the long run.

I've never written an amazon review before but I want to help a person who was in my situation. I've had terrible neck pain from sleeping with bad pillows and i've trier so many uncomfortable ones but this one is the BEST pillow in the world. I sleep on my side and I have big shoulders from working out and the shape of the pillow really provides me with great comfort. I love the way you can easily adjust height and fluff of the pillow. I highly recommend if you have neck pain.

I love this pillow! I was scared to spend so much on a pillow but after hearing reviews I pulled the trigger and I am so glad I did! I also purchased the cooling pillow case and have no regrets. I am both a side and back sleeper and I have slept so well ever since getting this pillow. I no longer wake up hurting from whatever position I ended up in while asleep and I sleep so well.

I wanted to love it. I have wrist nerve issues and my old pillow was giving me a lot of night time hand tingling and numbness. The Coop pillow came with a LOT of filling (and, yes, a slight odor). I settled on an amount of filling, then after a few nights decided it was too firm and removed some. It seemed perfect. Then I started to get these mini headaches that I kept chalking up to other stuff...maybe stress, caffeine, neck tension, etc. Until a few weeks ago, when my neck had been really sore and my headaches were popping up regularly. I went camping, and woke up with no headache. It took me a few days of more neck tension and headaches to put two and two together. I switched to an old, flat pillow. No headache during the night, or when I woke up. I'm unfortunately past the return window as I bought this almost 6 months ago. I don't have any complaints about the pillow itself. It just gave me neck pain that I didn't have before.

I've been hunting for the perfect pillow for side sleepers for awhile now. Pros - filling is removable if it feels too plump, plus it comes with extra filling in case you need to add more - I expected to hate the pillow case it comes in but I actually quite like it. I bought the "cooling" pillow cases too and ended up not liking those (too slippery? It's weird). I was afraid the pillow case would leave lines on my face when I woke up but it doesn't! - it's very supportive and I do think it helps me sleep better. It helps me feel less crunched around my neck/shoulders Cons - you can't use your own pillow cases because of the cutout - It's hard to find the right level of filling? They make it sound like a side sleeper usually needs to add filling though - my pillow case already has a hole in it after about 7 months of use, and I have two cases so it's only in use half the time. Not sure if it got caught on something or what.

I have been dealing with neck pain on waking up for about a month. I ordered it yesterday and today is the first day I woke up with no neck pain. Thank you COOP

I'm always on the hunt for that perfect pillow. Well I think I may have found it. I have had the water pillow, which was comfortable but noisey and you could only use one side. But you could adjust it to you liking. So they served me fairly well for 1+yrs. The Coop pillow is not only shaped tomorrow side sleeping, it's also adjustable to my preferred thickness AND it's super soft. I used it last night for the first time and found it extremely comfortable. I may be taking some of the filling out, but not much. It's malleable which is also good for me and my poor neck. I would like a custom pillowcase(s) for laundry and hygiene purposes. It is extremely well packaged 📦 I HIGHLY recommend 👌🏻

My dream-like sleep began with this very item. It’s convenient that the filling can be adjusted. I’m very pleased.

The pillow once it is "revived" with 15 minutes of low heat dryer, is so thick that I even had to remove 1/4 of the filling to model it to my neck. It is very comfortable. The leftover filler ia enough to fill a baby size pillow that instead I use with a shiatsu massager machine, to reduce the energetic push of the rotating round elements against my back or to position it between my legs.
