The uproarious comedy about a girl enlisted to work in a lavish host club! In this screwball romantic comedy, Haruhi, a poor girl at a rich kids' school, is forced to repay an $80,000 debt by working for the school's swankiest, all-male clubโas a boy! There, she discovers just how wealthy the six members are and how different the rich are from everybody else... Haruhi's top ranking falls and she is in jeopardy of losing her scholarship at Ouran. Each member of the Host Club scrambles to become her tutor, but Haruhi picks a female student, Ayame, to help her. Haruhi's time is now spent with Ayame, who can't stand Tamaki. Can Tamaki charm his way into Ayame's good graces so the Host Club can spend time with their favorite member? Review: A must for Manga Fans - I got this for my daughter on her request. She really enjoyed the book as the characters developed much more in this volume. Arrived on time and in good condition. Review: sweet - Getting better in each vol, came in yesterday I read it all I cannot wait till the next one comes

Haruhi's grades and Tamaki's ladykiller rep suffer
This volume starts with the Host Club learning that on a recent test, Haruhi scored third in the class instead of her usual top of the class. But Haruhi's scholarship depends on her always being top in her class, so her make-up test is a real do-or-you're-gone issue. Although Tamaki and the other guys immediately all volunteer to help her study, she chooses to study with the girl who's top girl in Kyoya and Tamaki's class... a girl who seems to find Tamaki all too superficial and insincere. What's wrong with this picture? At the same time, Tamaki has had a number of his personal possessions vanish, and he'd never suspect who's behind it. And a kind of peace is brokered briefly between Tamaki and Haruhi's tutor... although she soon shoots Tamaki down again. After that, the school breaks up for summer. And when Tamaki can't get into touch with Haruhi, he automatically assumes she's been kidnapped or other dire things, only to have Kyoya inform him that their favourite girl has gone to work at an unpaid job for the summer with one of her dad's friends. To Haruhi's horror, the Host Club invades the hotel where she's working and intend to stay. But they learn that only one room is available, so the hotel's owner insists that the guys compete for it. It's a battle of cuteness versus cunning, and cunning wins every time. But while still at the hotel, an old junior high school friend of Haruhi's shows up, and and for once, Hikaru is the one getting jealous. Trying to teach Hikaru consideration for his friend's feelings, Kaoru sets his twin and Haruhi on a date. It doesn't start well, but eventually things get going better... until Haruhi's old friend sees them again, and Hikaru abandons the date just as a thunderstorm is starting. And Haruhi is paralyzed with fear about thunder. The last story takes place as school re-commences, and a very young girl wanders into the music room. To the club's surprise, she identifies them as a male harem, and points out all the stereotypes they fulfill... before calling Tamaki her big brother. Tamaki is an only child... isn't he? But soon, Tamaki surrenders to the utter cuteness of the girl, although the rest of the club is trying to figure out who really is her big brother, and learn it's Nekozawa. Yet the girl refuses to accept Nekozawa as her brother, because she feels Tamaki fits the role she had in mind more. It's up to the club to reconcile these siblings. So, situation normal for Ouran... once Haruhi passes her make-up test.

Manga A+
Love this series! Host Club members' hi-jinx and fun focus on helping tutor Haruhi who loses her first place ranking. They also have fun learning about common folk food and traditions.

Manga
I've watched the anime expecting the manga to be the same, it's similar but a real laugh out loud read when in your hands. No issues with shipping or quality of the comic in shipping.
