The Essence of Forex

This a great and very detailed book about fundamentals and it was designed for intermediate to advanced traders. Although some of the content is pretty basic, you still have to have a basic knowledge of forex trading. I would definitely recommend it, however and unfortunately, I believe books are becoming obsolete. Chat GPT can give you all the info in a few seconds and you can interact with it. Nonetheless, I would recommend the book if you prefer an old fashioned way of studying. This is not a book to read before bed but to study and take notes.

One of it's kind. This book really gets you thinking approaching the forex markets like a professional trader. Full of plenty examples and explains the logic clearly to understand the basic concepts and approach to macroeconomics and fundamental analysis of currency pairs in from a financial standpoint and economic view. Since reading this, my outlook immediately became fully objective and clear on what currencies to trade and to avoid at what time. What is and isn't moving exchange rates, etc. Invaluable and wish there was a follow up to this book in more detail. If you are serious about trading the forex markets then don't sleep on this book.

Fantastic book on the fundamentals of forex , has completely changed how I view trading

Informative book

This is an excellent source of information for the price. The author tells you how he trades, similar to investment bankers, since he only uses about 10% of technical analysis on his trades. A lot of information on how the central banks regulate currency in their respective areas of influence and a special focus on how to do your analysis before entering a trade. I'd say this is more geared towards swing trading(on the longer side(days-weeks)) and position trading(1-3months). In order for it to be accessible and summarized towards beginners, there are some concepts that are only explained on a surface level but that is understandable. If you're interested in Forex, I'd definitely recommend this book. You can also go to the author's website and get a lot of extra resources for free. I didn't give it 5 stars because there are some typos(at least in the English version) and some of the concepts did need to be explained a bit more thoroughly. Despite this it is still a very good purchase.

Para começar, o livro está impresso a preto e cinza, enquanto o autor, para explicar os gráficos faz referencia a a diversas cores nos mesmo. Ainda nos gráficos, a qualidade de impressão é péssima e não permite perceber certos valores. Segundo, não ponho em causa os conhecimentos do autor sobre a matéria mas, a explicação que ele apresenta não é clara e simples. Lamento, não recomendo a livro a ninguém

I feel so much more confident approaching the market. Obviously I'm still a beginner but the method David teaches(which is his own method) to analyze pairs has really opened my eyes. If your looking for a get rich quick book look else where but if you want to learn about economies and how to understand and use macroeconomic data to help you in your trading this book will DEFINITLY help. Thank you David.

A very invaluable book that I wished I had read when i first saw it on Amazon over about a year ago. Great very great book. Has really taught me a lot about the markets. Don't pass up the chance to actually learn how to approach the Forex markets for your advantage.
