Lennox iComfort Wi-Fi Catalog# 10F81 Alternative - No Separate Zone Control or WiFi - Plug and Play!

I bought this product as a replacement for the Lennox thermostat that came with my HVAC system. This was actually the second Lennox thermostat. The first one had already broken. They're expensive, and based on my experience and on reviews from other customers, they're not at all reliable. Hence, I wanted to find a replacement.Unfortunately, there are not many non-Lennox options available. This particular item seemed to match the needs of my system, so I gave it a try. The great news is, it works exactly as described. It's programmable, which allows me to set temps for various times of the day. It is not Wi-Fi enabled, so I can't operate it from my phone when I'm away. But I saw that as a minor drawback.The best thing about this product (in addition to the fact that it works!) is the quality of service provided. As recommended in the product description, I called the seller, Yehuda Avitan, BEFORE purchasing the product. He was very helpful in assuring me about the products performance, ease of installation and compatibility with my Lennox system.The product arrived a few days later with detailed instructions about installation. The new thermostat was easy to install (although the wiring was a bit tricky), and the step-through process for linking the device with my unit worked beautifully. The result was a perfectly functioning thermostat the FIRST time I ran it through its paces. I works beautifully. (I should add that I am handy with many DIY projects, but I am not an engineer or tech professional in any capacity.)I was especially impressed with the support the seller provided. In addition to the instructions he sent, he kept me posted on shipping dates and assured me he would walk me through any issues I might face in the installation process. Fortunately, I didn't have any issues. So, no call was ever necessary.

Like I said It was the only thermostat I could find to replace the way overly priced Lennox 10F81. It doesn't have Wifi which I didn't need just for it to tell me the weather forecast anyway. It doesn't have zones which I don't need either. It is smaller as shown in the photo than the original. A little spackle and paint to cover the previous wall holes and you couldn't tell at all anything was replaced. Wiring was also very easy with only 4 color coded and marked wires to reattach. It worked great from the very beginning. Easily set up your preferences like time, date etc. like you would for any new device. This thermostat saved me a whole lot of money over the $1500 Lennox one. It works great and the seller sent it quicker than expected and also gave me a prepaid mailer to send back the old blank screen thermostat and $30 +tax for a refund.

Losing AC in 100+F Texas heat is not good. This arrived quickly and was true plug+play... no fiddling around mapping wires to terminals, no heading into my sauna of an attic to trace out wiring, just wire in the new (included) wall cradle and turn the power back on.Excellent unit and to my eyes, looks better than the monster panel it replaces.As others have said, this seller is excellent - including a full set of notes for install and initial start-up. Knowing that he was just a phone call away gives confidence, yet his notes were so good I didn't need to call.

If you're reading this, chances are your old Lennox thermostat has failed and you've done enough research to know that the company has discontinued it, after market thermostats aren't compatible with your system, and any HVAC company is going to charge an arm and a leg to make a work around solution. This is the fix you are looking for.Following the very helpful instructions included, it took less than 30 minutes to get it installed and running. During setup, it recognized our heat pump and air handler by model number and had no issues communicating with them. The installer's system setup guide is included if you need to adjust any settings, but we've had it running for weeks with the factory default settings and it's been working great.I had a couple of quick questions for the seller, and he was able to answer them within minutes. I highly recommend this as a solution to a broken iComfort thermostat. Ours started failing at the beginning of a heat wave, I ordered this on a Tuesday, and by Friday afternoon had our AC working again at less than a third of the cost our HVAC guy quoted us.

Seller shipped lightning fast. His included instructions made it an absolute breeze. I got lucky and it fit the anchors from my old 10f81 so the install took 10 minutes. I cannot recommend this man enough. If you fell into the Lennox trap, this is easily the best way out.
