Compost Caddy, Detachable and Countertop Bin, 4 Liter / 1.06 Gallon, Matte Black

Elegant. Have no complaints. Using it as a countertop compost bin. The size is perfect to have organic items long enough but not too long so it won’t cause flies until it’s full. Very pleased with matter black design. I also got a bin and apparently can be hang on it too. I’d definitely purchase again. Very impressed. Pricey but worth it.

This product fits perfectly on the Simplehuman rectangular trash can. Same great quality as their other products, and provides an easy place for collecting compost.

Love the look; ease of staying open. Super easy to empty & clean.

I own two of these. The lid on both of them does not close fully, leading to lots of fruit flies. Why would a company design a compost bin that doesn't shut fully?

Looks nice, easier to clean than my old one but doesn’t keep smell in well. Sometimes the bag struggles to stay in place.

I did not like it.it does not contain the smell like the trash cans. The fruit flies are still able to get into it. I think the trash bags are a waste. It doesn’t make sense to put food into a plastic bag when we are about saving the environment . I don’t recommend and you can save money by buying Ziploc bags and putting your food in the bag into the refrigerator where the fruit flies won’t get into it

Way smaller than I thought, it advertised itself as being seam sealed so I got it to keep out ants, it is not seam sealed. Also does not work alone on a counter, needs to be attached to a trash can.

This food waste container is generally well thought out. Easy enough to use and empty, looks nice on the counter. However, during warmer weather the gnats are a constant pest. The lid does not fit as tight as it should (IMHO) allowing small critters access. In worst situation they are resident long enough to lay eggs and hatch into larva (maggots)! We purchased another thinking the lid would fit better. It did not fit any better!! Really doesn't seem difficult to make FLAT lid that has a decent seal...... just saying.
