Philips DVT6500 Voice Tracer Digital Recorder with 3 Microphone High Fidelity Recording, remote control, 4GB, colour display, silver shadow

This is great, im using it to record interviews and it is perfect. Very clear sound, with lots of different settings that allow you to set it up to fit your needs. Really easy to use and to transfer recordings. Worth getting a micro sd card too if you plan on recording alot.

Battery needs charging each time you use it. Buttons are rather flimsy as is the housing. Sound average but acceptable. A lot of variety in the settings but have not been able to find a use or point to a most of them. A bad choice on my part.

Use this with a Boya Omnidirectional Lavalier 1/4" adapter 3.5mm Condenser Microphone and a Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pick Up Microphone. All work perfectly with each other. Good for using together discreetly.

First class recorder, used especially with Dragon Naturally Speaking. No need now for the plug-in microphone to the computer. This is just as good as a direct connection.

It didn't work upon arrival, but they gave TOTAL refund on both the price and my transportfee, so all in all a GREAT xperience..

Could not get a quality recording made that was not muffled or full of hissing noise. Maybe a bad unit. I lost confidence in the product especially when you consider its price - you expect it to work. Changed to Olympus.

+ lighter than I expected, easy operation which I wanted, - movimg through the time of a recording has only one speed

disappopinting product

I just bought it for more than two months, and the number of uses is very small, it is damaged!

This recorder is great. I ordered this recorder based from what I read online about what it could do. The sound quality is great as well as the microphone. This recorder gives you the option to use an micro SD card to record your files on. You can also select the quality of how you like to record your files. Transferring the files to a computer takes less than a minute, yet only a few seconds. The recordings are compatible with windows media player as well as other players on your computer. You also can record in MP3 format in which is compatible with many programs on your computer. I bought this recorder for interviews & it did very well. The three microphones on the recorder makes it sound very good when recording. I also tested the recorder with a microphone & it recorded very well with the microphone. Also this recorder has a FM radio & an earphone jack. You can also adjust the microphone sensitivity to how loud or how low you would like the recorder to record. The best thing I would say about this recorder is that it has an recording level to where you are able to tell if you are talking too loud, too soft, or just right. When I played back my recordings, everything sounded crystal clear & the volume was just right. Due to the recording level screen, I will not have to edit my recordings. Having a recording level is very important to me because I had an digital recorder previously where it did NOT have a recording level screen & when I played back my clips, the interview was somewhat distorted for that the microphone was too close to those who were speaking. If that prior recorder had recording level, then that problem would not have occurred. With that recording, I ended up editing it but it took a lot of time to fix it. So my suggestion is to have a recorder with an recording level so you are able to tell how loud or soft the recordings are. This has been by far the best digital recorder I've had & I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a digital recorder with great quality. There are other recorders out there that may be & seem better, but this one to me is great. I'm very pleased with this product.
