Dettol Washing Machine Cleaner, 250 ml

Cleans the washing machine well. Nothing else to say really. Very Good Product .

when we moved into our flat we acquired a washing machine which was handy and saved us money. But after using it a few times we started to notice this horrible eggy smell. I started to look for something to clean it. so I came across this washing machine cleaner. After the first use I was shocked at how clean it made. The one thing that you will notice once the clean has finished is some fluff and dirt stuck to the drum, where it has unblocked the pipe or the little wholes in the drum, this is normal as it has removed the dirt. the only thing to do now is just give the drum a wipe over. Once the clean has finished, I then get some anti-bacteria wipes and just give the drum a wipe over. which then you have nothing which could make your next wash smell bad. I would recommend this. make sure you follow the instructions and put it on a 60degress wash for about an hour and the whole bottle into the detergent draw. We no longer have a smelly washing machine!!

The process: I left the solution in the washing machine overnight to soak. As soon as the water got hot and the machine was halfway through the circle, I turned it off and left overnight to soak. Then set a new washing circle in the morning. When it finished, I wiped the seals in places where the mould was still visible on the seal with the undiluted solution and left it for a few hours. I followed with another wash with the solution as per instruction. Do wash some white towels and/or bedsheets in the first wash after cleaning to make sure that your clothes do not get bleached if there is any residue of the cleaner in your machine. The result: I got rid of the visible mould from the door rubber seal. The interior smelled fresh and there was no more scent of mould immediate after cleaning. The bad smell returned soon after but this is perhaps due to drainage problem with the machine I need to sort out as soon as I find it.

Arrived next day with Amazon Prime. Used a bit less than half bottle and definitely did the trick. I dont know what all these negative reviewers were expecting (some leprechauns turning your washing machine in white gold?!) and they say it didn't work?. It got rid the dump and bad smell from the inside bin and inside parts. Now, if you want the Detergent drawer clean from all the black stuff, you need to take this out and scrub with chlorine, people! A liquid won't just magically clean every corner. Maybe if I used the whole bottle it might even did that, but why would I use the whole quantity when half of it did wonders with this horrible smell and making the inner bin look sparkly clean?! Def recommend this product if you re having the problem of smelly washing machine. (Extra tip: leave the door of the washing machine not sealed and the bad smell won't return!)

I like the Dettol range of cleaning products. They’re effective but mainly, they don’t have an overpowering scent. There’s a clean, fresh smell left rather than an artificial fragrance or one of disinfectant. I probably don’t use the washing machine cleaner often enough. I don’t have problems with machine odour and I keep the rubber door seal clean by wiping almost daily. However, it’s what goes on within the machine where problems can build, so I use this Dettol cleaner three or four times a year to keep the machine in good order. It’s a Bosch, used almost daily and it’s now 9 years old and working well, so I guess this attention to cleaning is helping.

Strange times indeed... you have to use this to wash...a machine that...is used to wash...and it washes the machine by... this is all a tad too Escher...but this really stops the old Miele from stinking like our dogs’ jowls.
