I bought these for wood blocks for a baby shower and the letters were too large for my 2 inch blocks

I got these letter stencils to use in the background of some of my pet portraits. I was very pleased to see that the letters came already "punched out" so I didn't have to do that tedious job. Each letter was on its own fairly sturdy plastic square, making them easy to use and each square has notches to help line the letters. The plastic is translucent, making it easy to see through it and also help with lining up the letters. I used a pencil to outline the letters so I haven't really had to clean them yet. Before I used the stencils I went through each letter and with a marker, wrote the letter in the upper right-hand corner, which makes it easier to find the letter I want in the pile and know how the letter should be oriented. With a little care I should be able to use these stencils for many years to come.
