Remember this is not even a $50 knife.
As many others have said the finger groove is either liked or hated. It holds an edge very well and with some polishing it is sharp. The fit and finish is not the best but it is a full tang knife for under $40 and is nice and heavy. I would argue the angle of the grind is a bit steeper than I like but that can be changed. Good knife for the price.

Hefty
This Baby's hefty, real good, strong, big, well-made "survivalist" knife, if Hugh Glass had this, that bear would've been killed long before it was killed. Good purchase.

Good steel!
I like this knife but the fit of the handle does not match the tang, leaving some rough or sharp edges extending beyond the wood. And why is that? Because it's made in CHINA! I will have to make another handle to improve this knife. Steel is good and takes a good edge.

It would work better without the finger contour
So crapy ! Scales/ handles dont fit,or match in color, front heavy and feels strange in the hand . It would work better without the finger contour. I't would be even better if i spent the money on a cheese burger !

I own over 30 survival knives-this is my favorite!
I am only writing this review because I saw the 1 star rating by someone and I felt it wrong to let one nincumpoop trash a great knife.I own a bag full of technical, bushcraft, survival, simple, cheap, expensive and just plain silly knives. I have tested them throughly and found most of them capable of cutting. Comfort and design are another subject that rate high in my book that form follows function. This knife takes a quick edge, high carbon steel, easy in out durable thick leather sheath. the balance is great, the weight just right for my 6 ft frame hand. No negatives about this knife. Awesome! Of course, everybody has their own likes and reasons, but if you know anything at all about bushcraft survival knives, you will like the simplicity and feel of this knife. Go ahead! Sharp knife
With this knife u either like the finger grooves in it or u don't. I like them. This knife is sharp right out of the box. Its a heavy knife. definitely worth the 69 dollars if u are into bushcraft.
