Forget the air purification negative ions. Let's be real here, you don't need a science background to scratch your head at - how exactly could a tiny bulb generate extra ions anything like the violence of a waterfall or lightning storm and how much could these negative ions be released by moisture-transfer into the air if this relatively small hunk of halite mineral is kind of sitting there, not even sweating, perfectly inert like, yep, a rock?? If folks feel a health benefit anyway, wonderful. More power to them. But let's also consider what this rock is. It is a piece of geologic time in your living room. How cool is that?! Personally, I feel like reality is astonishing enough. This is an actual piece of prehistoric sea that evaporated and left mineral beds HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of years ago and was buried and compressed and raised into these large geological formations across Pakistan and surrounding regions - which was mined and carved and made into a beautiful object, now in your living room or bedroom or wherever, that you can stare at for hours, contemplating deep-time or just if you should go for another cookie. I also think these white rock salt lamps have a more neutral aesthetic than the pink ones (when daylight/off) and the glow is a lot less amber-orange, which I prefer. Mine are 8" tall and ~4.5" diameter, with interesting inclusions, smoother more translucent planes, and rougher more crumbly bits. Dial dimmer works just fine, there is a little click at the off setting. Changing the bulb might be a pain because the plastic unit is really wedged in there tight and I'm not sure how I'd get it out without forcing/breaking it. But that is a Future Me problem and these lamps were an extraordinary good deal. I say go for it!

OK. So the first time I received this order, neither lamp had the correct cord (they were USB cords--not sure what that's for), the wood bases looked rough (or covered in glue?), one of the lamps had a base that wasn't firmly in place, and one of them had a scorch mark from the drill they use that showed all the way through to the outside of the lamp. So yeah---less than thrilled. I returned those and ordered replacements, and the replacements are both lovely! Proper cords, bases look fine, attached correctly, not drill burn marks, etc. Bottom line: I don't recommend buying any used (unless you get a GREAT deal on them, that is), since you'll probably get ones like I got that had problems and were returned. Also, be aware that size variations are a thing. They are ROUGHLY the same size, but if you are looking for two lamps with great symmetry, it's no guarantee. Mine are not the same height. But I'm totally satisfied with my replacements. I've wanted salt lamps for a while, and this was a good deal! They provide very nice soft lighting. Salt lamps make me think of this verse from Scripture: "You are the salt of the earth....You are the light of the world." --Matthew 5:13-14 A good reminder of what Christians are called to be!

I was so glad to find these! They have regular bulbs instead of led which is preferable as my family and I are trying to reduce led exposure. Perfect alternative for night lights, and it’s aesthetically pleasing.

We like to use them as night lights. They work great and adds a nice ambiance.

The base on one of these lamps was cracked, causing it to sit at an odd angle. It was very well packaged, and so must have been broken on assembly, but packed and sent anyway. The dimmer switch on the other lamp popped off as soon as I touched it. They have a nice warm glow, so the quality is disappointing. I got the dimmer mechanism popped back on, but I can't see it lasting long, and the leaning lamp seems like a fire hazard.

I was unsure about ordering initially but am beyond glad I did. These are just gorgeous! The bride and size is excellent, and I live they have a dial for a dimmer! These were meant to replace a pink salt lamp that went out and that one did not dim. It was well wrapped and in mint condition. Extremely pleased I got the two pack

The lamp that works is great! The other one however only turns on sometimes and when it does, it quickly dims. The troubleshooting here just quotes the product directions that came with the lamps. The link to contact the 'store' is a dead link and there's no phone number listed. I'm very disappointed that I paid for two lamps yet only one is in working condition right out of the box.
