Leifheit 41520 Duster XL

This attached to the adjustable pole reaches very high areas and does effectively collect dust very well. I have used it on a hanging chandelier and it’s kept the glass dust free. This is the second one of these dusters I’ve had, I haven’t found another as effective as this as yet.

Leifheit seem to be the only company that make really long telescopic poles for dusting high ceilings. I bought the pole a couple of years ago with one of their nylon bristle brush attachments but I needed something softer for light fittings etc. The Extra Large Hand Held Duster is brilliant. Big and thick, it picks up dust in an instant and is a joy to use hand-held but best of all it clips onto the pole so can be used in those really hard to reach areas too. A quality European-made item unlike any other I've come across (and I've searched long and hard). I totally recommend it.

This is a very sturdy duster, which is very easy to use because of the length of the hairs.

Really disappointed with this, just seems to push the dust around, does hold on to some dust as it has got dirty very quickly, can see the dust especially in shafts of sunlight being pushed to the end of a shelf and just falling to the floor, will go back to using the disposable Pledge ones as they seem to work a lot better!

This is a really great quality duster compared to others I've purchased. It also fits onto the pole I bought with another accessory from this brand. Love the color too!

This is a very practical piece of kit which I would highly recommend. Two negatives. 1) It's so effective that it gets mucky quickly (at least in my house) and I can't see any cleaning instructions so I'll have to guess...2) The wire going through the duster bit is very flexible - in other words it bends easily and has to be bent back. Not sure how many 'bending backs' it will take - only time will tell.

Thought it prudent to invest in a 'proper duster', that is, non-disposible since we're quite addicted to the excellent Pledge Fluffy Dusters that, for some unbeknown reason, is only ever sold disposable. (That, and their quick dry wipes/clothes for everyday.) I just have to give the rooms a quick sweep to see the difference. This handheld one is simply pathetci after the first use/wash. There goes another waste of time 'researching' the market, like some possessed student making a deadline, for the best, anti-static, micro-fibre duster currently sold on the market. They don't exist. If they do, would some informant please advise me? I can go through a pack of the Pledge dusters in a week. On a daily job, they go a satisfactory shade of grey. That makes one happy. This Leifheit duster was given a fair test, on particularly dusty items and areas. It annoyingly creates a flurry of dust but not as bad as some other cheaper dusters. Save your money.

I read reviews and thought I will give it a try. After few weeks I know I would not buy it again. It cleans the dust properly, however dust stick to it like glued, so you have to wash it almost after every use. I also have Home Valet Dust Genie at home and this is sooo much better, never wash it just shake it out of window and ready to use again like a brand new.
