Defective Unit - Great Company - Don’t Give Up - Get a Warranty Replacement
I purchased mine a year ago. I had the same white screen issues. The customer service from the manufacturer has been amazing. They sent me a replacement immediately and didn’t ask me to send the defective one back. This happened two more. After the third unit, I accepted their offer to replace it with the rechargeable analog unit (dials) instead of the digital.I now have four total, which is nice when one or two go “white screen” on me. The analog one has worked perfectly. It’s slightly smaller, comes in a smaller case, has shorter electrode wires, and works every time. You can also press and hold the buttons to change intensity which my wife appreciates due to the beeping. Apparently the issue had to due with the electronics and the company told me they were changing manufacturers. I highly recommend the analog unit.

Works great, until the blue screen of death! But there's fixes!
Unit works extremely well, when it does work. As numerous other reviews have noted, it does have a particular failure mode-the blue screen of death. BUT.....after reading several of those reviews, I wanted to pass on two fixes that others have identified. Or should I say-temporary fixes, as the blue screen eventually comes back. OR.....just reach out to the customer service number listed in the manual, if you're within the 1 year warranty & they'll take care of you. First-problem description: The unit will all of a sudden show a blank, but lit screen. Pushing the buttons does provide the normal beep. I also found that the TENS stimulation also works, but of course without the screen providing the info on the mode, intensity, etc, its basically useless. So here are the fixes: First one-for those less tech savvy-just leave it turned on until the battery is completely drained. Then charge it back up. Should work fine, until the blue screen issue eventually comes back. Second option-pop open the case, and briefly short the battery terminals. Need to remove the two top screws on the back, then carefully pry the back open starting at the top seam. Turn the unit on so you can confirm when you've properly shorted the two terminals. Use a bent paperclip or something & briefly short the two connections together. Screen should immediately turn off. It should work fine after that. Reassemble & get back to TENS'ing!

Wish I'd Heard of This Sooner
UPDATE>Sadly, after a handful of uses, the screen no longer shows data. Am charging it in hopes that's all that it is, but I am skeptical. Without the data from the main screen there is no way to select the Mode, or intensity. One can still apply the plus or minus of intensity, you won't know the number you're using. Very disappointed and will reach out to A for a refund.Got this for pain management b/c - over the past 26yrs - I was run over by a 56k lb truck (needing arm reconstruction), hit on my bicycle by a texting driver resulting in a broken elbow & pelvis (4 places), dx with LD in 2015, and, in 2021, a condition called PMR, and that's along with having had typical broken bones and torn ligaments from sports. Despite multiple surgeons, physicians, & physical therapists being involved in my recoveries, never before these past 2 weeks (of PMR relapse) has this type of treatment been recommended or lauded. I cannot claim that it is causing my ailments to recover, but I can tell you this thing brought immediate relief. Like in an instant! It came ready to go with a bit of a charge. Did not read anything and began to use it straight out of the box/case. Just hooked one black and one red end to 2 different pads and stuck them a few different times to find the right spot. Plugged in to hole/Channel 2, picked a MODE (modulation is my fav), then turned up all the way, lol. I don't recommend you do that though. After my initial experience, I decided to learn a bit more. Read that you could have a heart attack if you touch the pads while it's on. Read you cannot use the pads on your chest or neck. So before believing some of what's out there, I decided to watch some technical more trustworthy vids on YouTube. Most folks don't get into detail about how to use this, but I will tell you, plan to give it a good 45 minutes to an hour or longer when just starting out to treat something. I use the 15 minute intervals 3-4x before taking a break. I have also fallen asleep wearing them, but don't recommend it. I also don't recommend wearing them to let your dogs out in the backyard. lol.I may have had the pads too close together initially and if using all 4 in the same area, to cross Channel 1 cordage with Channel 2 (I could not find out why it's supposedly better). Also learned that muscle twitching means it's set on too high an intensity Unless you are attempting to stimulate muscle (to keep them from atrophying after injury or surgery), we don't want to exercise our muscles. All that does is cause excess muscle fatigue, and we don't want that if trying to manage pain. We want to vibrate the pain away, although there is a more scientific way to explain that, I'll spare you. I also have come to learn that you may not want to drink water that could spill on them when pads are affixed and receiving electricity. For me, it feels better starting higher then moving down in intensity after 2 or 3 15 minute cycles. At this price, it is worth a try. Am already on here to pick up larger pads. Hope you find it helps to manage or resolve your pain and issues too.

Turns out to be better than I thought initially.
At first I wasn't sure how to use this compared to the simple setup I used to use. It turned out to be much more versatile and effective, but there was a little bit of a learning curve I needed to navigate. Design wise, it is much better than the set up where are your terminals are like snap connections in shirts and blue jeans. I learned real quick how those snap connectors are very inconsistent and the pin and sleeve termination for these is so much better and more consistent it is absolutely crucial! The frequency modulator is so much more versatile and effective! I could be sitting, I could be walking around, I could get any type of zap I needed for my muscles! I can see how analog controls could be better than the digital controls, but it's not a big deal pushing a button many times until that button start to fail. I do recommend serious consideration for the analog dial control option.
