Leifheit Classic Tower 450

This is the best quality washing line! Doesn’t take up a lot of space when in use and the wheels make it easy to move around. It is pretty stable but I would be careful of placing it outside if it’s a bit windy as it WILL fall over. Easy to assemble and fits nicely behind any door for storage.

The tower airer is very easy to assemble at first appears to be slightly flimsy but when put together it does the job. I bought the largest size which holds quite a lot - I'm actually only using half the space at the moment and maybe should have got the middle size. It's also quite high I'm 5' 2" and the airer is about 5' 8". I have quite a wide landing and therefore have the space but recommend the smaller size of space is limited. On the whole I think it's a good buy.

I bought this for £41 in November. I was tempted to send it back after the first couple of days as it seemed to be forever toppling over/losing a wheel. It is fine, now. I think the weight of a few loads of washing helped it settle down in the wheels and I stopped expecting to be able to hang a couple of shirts on each of the shirt arms. I have the four 'shelf' option as we seem to wash a lot of non-iron shirts which benefit from being hung straight from the washing machine. I like the flexibility of being to remove/lower some of the shelves. The wire is quite flimsy, but it does seem to bounce back into shape.If I want clothing to actually dry I find it is only good for about 2-3 loads of jeans/t-shirts/underwear. I use it conjunction with a couple of sock-dryers that I hang from it above underfloor heating and we tend to keep it up all the time. I'll probably just leave it 1/2 size in the summer. I feel optimistic that I'll get at least 5 years' use out of this. I hesitate to give it 4 stars at its current price, but it represented good value to me.

It cost almost £70 so you would expect it to be pretty robust and good quality, but this is something from the Aldi reject pile in the middle of the store, worth tops £25. In fact, if I spent £25 on this and took it home and set it up, I'd feel a little taken by the whole thing.It is wonky when you put it together, it is not strong enough to stand on its own, and it wobbles and falls over if you don't have everything balanced on it perfectly right. It is an absolutely dreadful item.You put a single shirt on one side of this, it topples over. For a nearly £70 (!!!!!!!!) airer, you really should be able to use this thing without babysitting it.This is a terrible item, it's very badly designed, and I would 100% not recommend it at all.

I've previously been using two airers at home to accommodate all the washing that comes with having a one year old in the house. These take up most of the space in the dining room, leaving very little room for anything else, so I wanted something that would take up less floor space. This airer seemed to fit the bill, whilst providing plenty of space to hang every variety of washing. It is tall, and it is imposing, but the space that it actually takes up on the floor is significantly reduced compared to my two old airers. With space to hang up all my baby clothes, my husbands work shirts, and t-shirts and underwear, there's no shortage of ways to use this airer. I can put two loads on here with some space left over. It is easy to rearrange the layout, simply dropping the tiered shelves down or clipping them easily back up. The whole thing is fairly sturdy, and on wheels, which makes it easy to move about, though not so easy on our hardwood floor as on the carpets, I think the wheels have nothing to grip on.In all, I'm very impressed with this, it does what I want it to and whilst it can look pretty imposing, tucked into the corner of our dining room it leaves much of the floor space for us to eat dinner without it looking like a Chinese laundry. Highly recommended if this is the style of airer that you're looking for

Fantastic item, flexible enough tho be sturdy. Well able to handle a family of 5s laundry including duvets and sheets- simple to set up, great that it can be moved and not too big bulky. DEFINATE PURCHASE for any one with family, limited space. Highly recommend

The airer arrived and everything was poor from the start as the whole construction was bent out of shape. The top and bottom cross-struts were caved inwards and the uprights were wonky. As a result the top central holding piece broke off at one side and then popped out of the bottom holder. The rungs appear flimsy and bend easily. It really isn't fit for purpose.It has taken my son over an hour to straighten out the metalwork and with the aid of a couple of cable ties, it is now holding together at the top. How did this item managed to leave the factory in such a state?I have put a small load of washing on it, but am concerned that at any given moment the whole thing will collapse.I really don't like leaving negative feedback about anything and am pretty pleased with most things, but this has made me think twice about buying something like this on the internet.

Very disappointed. Not the quality I would expect from Leifheit, having seen a family member's Pegasus airier. Very good size & shape but relatively flimsy. Feet keep falling off & I will have to tape them or stick them to the main body. Arrived in a polythene bag & corners were scuffed through to bare metal. Have subsequently seen much sturdier versions at cheaper price & would not consider ordering such an item unseen again. Didn't think this would be an issue with a 'quality' name, but unfortunately Leifheit not living up to their reputation on this one.

It's very functional and flexible to use.I can hung big towels and trousers with full length, and lay sweters flat on it.Fold it and can use it in a half space.It looks flimsy but it's enough tough for me. Very light and poorly made. The structure is not rigid enough to withstand some wind and will topple over easily. The lines bend too easily and just does not have the rigidity to do the job well. Would not buy this again.

Zeer lange levertermijn in mijn geval

I like this brand having had another similar product previously. This washing line is not as good as the last in terms of sturdiness and quality - the lines are a bit more flexible and seem weaker - however it does have a lot of space and I like the configuration ability to drop down the levels to hang longer items.
