Great, until they went wrong in the worst possible way
Important edit at the end of the review.I was pretty much ready to recommend these pads to people given this was my second set and the first gave me no issues at all, front ones I installed were also fine. This pair, however… I wasn’t so lucky. Everything was working as expected, noise was relatively low, they grab the discs perfectly, last for months at a time, delaminate going down a steep hill causing a pretty bad crash, wait… what?Yep. So it was the third day using these after fitting the second pair to my rear brake, they performed fine initially but I could occasionally hear a clicking sound when braking, didn’t think anything of it really as this happens from time to time with new pads… plus, never had a brake pad fail before.Going up the hill, seemed fine, no signs the brake pad was about to fail. Brakes were still working as I turned around at the top of the hill. The terrain wasn’t rough, just a tarmac steep 1/4 mile long with upto 15% gradient hill - I’ve never had issues going down it before, I just have to regulate my speed and don’t go too hard on the brakes. I wouldn’t class it as extreme, not by a long shot.Well… I set off down, around 1/4 of the way down I was on and off the brakes to keep my speed down - without breaking you can easily do in excess of 50 down the hill, hence my need for metal pads. Upon trying to pull my speed from 45mph back down to 30 for a slight turn, I hear a crack, grind and metallic sound from behind me - turns out this was the pads contact surface coming away from the plate, getting caught in the calliper briefly, then getting caught in a rotor hole, ripping out both pads & the holding pin - damaging the piston before flying out and hitting the floor. That’s probably the best part about the whole situation. Obviously I’m now going down a steep tarmac hill with only my front brake which is enough to slow me but without the back brake I wouldn’t ever be able to stop in time and would be on the busy main road at the bottom of the hill. As soon as my front brake disc started glowing red and throwing off sparks, I know at that point braking is getting very weak and I would have no brakes shortly so I’ve had to ditch the bike at close to 30mph into brambles, nettles, bushes and small trees. All damage done during this incident -Bruised and cut up knee, no big deal but it does hurt.Hairline fracture of the humerus bone.Quite a nasty internal tissue injury to the top of my leg.Few other scrapes, cuts, aches and pains but could have been so much worse. The bike on the other hand… a buckled front wheel and my rear calliper that I’ve only had a month is completely unusable as the piston was scraped by the material so will no longer withdraw into the calliper.People put their lives in the hands of the companies that make brake pads, something like this could have easily had serious or fatal consequences.Edit: I was thinking that this was a one off issue but absolutely not, put my old but still good rear calliper on today(day after review was written) and placed the remaining “good” pad & a new one into that brake calliper. Went to a bike shop so that I could pick up a new rear brake and made it around 2 miles into the journey, down a slight gradient andddd CRUNCH… same thing happened except the entire contact pad was gone this time. I’m actually really disappointed as well as angry as was the employee at UberBike who changed it for a new set and checked the brake over for me.Just avoid, not worth taking the risk. I’m working with the theory that the pads got too hot causing the solder/weld to fail. This is something I’ve never experienced before, though - I’ve had rainbow effect brake pads that started off red, after coming back from extreme rides and they have still held up perfectly fine to continue use. Zero confidence at all in these brakes.

Dangerous! Do not buy.
I bought these pads for an Alps trip for downhill riding. When I came to use these pads the initial grip felt good. But unfortunately the friction material delaminates. This is highly dangerous and very nearly caused me to crash by suddenly having zero braking power. The pads that are left are going in the bin. I will never use these again.
