We are a tea loving family. We also like a variety, depending on our mood. I wanted to get a nice box for displaying the tea bags without all of the space required for the boxes the tea comes in. This has ample room for our tea and looks so nice when sitting on the counter. It's very well made.

I had roughly 47 varieties of tea living in a sad cardboard chaos pile on my kitchen counter. Then this box arrived and order was restored. The acacia wood is genuinely beautiful. Each piece has its own unique grain pattern with warm gold-to-brown tones - no two are exactly alike, which gives it a handcrafted feel. It sits on the counter and looks like a considered, intentional decor decision rather than a storage solution. The double-decker design with ten compartments is well thought out. Each inner box lifts out independently, making it easy to rummage without disturbing the whole collection. Standard tea bags fit perfectly. Oversized or oddly-shaped bags might require a little creative arrangement. At roughly 14.75 x 7.75 inches, this is a solid countertop presence. It is not a small box, so make sure you have the counter space before ordering. One thing to know: acacia wood requires a little care. Don't put it in the dishwasher or submerge it in water. An occasional light oiling keeps it looking rich and prevents drying or cracking. It takes about two minutes and is genuinely worth doing. The fit and finish are excellent for the price. Hinges are smooth, lids open at a nice angle, and everything feels solid. This is a quality piece that will age gracefully if you treat it right. A great gift for any tea lover who has outgrown the drawer-stuffing stage.

There aren't many other wooden boxes for tea bags that offer 2x5 (10) spaces. This may seem like a strange need, but to fit next to the microwave, it had to be 2 spaces tall. To use all the space along the side of the microwave without wasting space at the back, 5 spaces filled the gap perfectly. It's easy to grab and open by the slightly recessed top. The ten spaces for tea bags allow for a much larger variety of teas. Concern: I believe a long hinge would serve this box better. Or maybe 3 hinges. The two small hinges seem inadequate for this box.

While it is pretty, and the 10 Compartment XL size does appear to fit tea bags (vs the feedback from others on the regular 10 compartment size), it arrived damaged. The side was likely impacted during transport as it did not arrive in a separate Amazon box ... only 1 thin piece of tissue and super thin cardboard. The corner is missing wood where the nail split out - otherwise I'd simply repair with wood glue. I shouldn't have to go to the extent of wood filler, sanding, and touch up stain on a brand new item. Will be returning with the HOPE that Amazon will put this in ANOTHER OUTER BOX WITH PADDING instead of shipping directly in item box. It's pretty, but as a gift, totally unacceptable. Very disappointing on Christmas morning... 😞 UPDATE: So I returned the first one and specifically contacted Amazon to notify them of the poor packaging and a note was made next to my order. However, the 2nd one arrived AGAIN without proper padding, in the regular product thin cardboard and only 1 tissue paper inside - and the box was pierced/damaged from transit. Additionally, the wooden box was flawed - a big spot missing that appeared to be sap area (?) and the front warped. I was hoping for so much more. Finally, after filling the box with teas (thinking I might was well keep it ...) I was further dismayed to see that the lid does not properly close. Even 1/4 inch more height would likely have been enough ... At this point, I am so frustrated as this was to be a gift. With the cheap black hinges, the lack of quality control of the wood, warped/damaged product and the inability of Amazon to even follow shipping instructions, I am giving up. What a waste of time and resources - 2 boxes damaged and returned. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS!!! I would think the seller could be notified ... with a little more thought on size and delivery, this could have been amazing ... but is just a DISAPPOINTMTNT. So sad.

This box is so pretty. If you love wood it is definitely a display piece. Bought it to store my tea bags. This box is not air tight(didn’t expect it to be) so I would only store individually wrapped tea bags. Slots are sized for twinning size packages, or for bigger size, you could lay flat.

Ironwood Gourmet Acacia Wood Rectangle Tea Chest The wood finish is very nice but I found that the compartments for tea bags are tight. A regular Bigelow or Twinings individually wrapped tea bag will fit but it is a very tight squeeze. The lid will not close all the way if they are placed in the box standing straight up. Also, the chain broke as soon as I opened the box. All in all, the tea chest's wood is very nice and the compartments many.

Good solid box, made very well. Perfect for 10 coffee pods. I did notice, the lid when open, has gorgeous wood, I would have thought the wood should have been placed on top, but either way a great, solid beautiful compartment box.

A caixa é grande, a madeira é de ótima qualidade e a delicadeza dos detalhes do corte da caixa deixam ela linda. É possível remover as divisórias para deixar espaços maiores e remover todas se quiser.

The box was screwed in a rush and is not aligned properly. This is visible when closing and opening the box. For $70 it's not worth it and I would not recommend this item. You would expect a minimum of care and quality control. From the comments, this is a common issue and you will certainly face it.

This box is the perfect size to organize my tea. I oiled the ironwood, which added a nice quality to the wood. The box is attractive and sturdy and now sits on my counter as an added attraction. AND, I have added space in my cupboard!

The hinges differ from the description and depiction, but overall very nice wooden tea box.
