Any tripod is a trade off between its own weight and stability. This is a compact light weight tripod so it isn't going to give the stability of a bigger, heavier unit. It's fine for photographic stills with my full frame mirrorless camera. I think if you want to do panning or zooming video, extreme telephoto or use it with a spotting scope, it isn't the right product for that. It's very nicely engineered, it's smooth and positive in use. The panning feature with the ball head is really good. The Arca Swiss mount accepts other bases I have from Gitzo and Peak Design. When fully extended, it gets the viewfinder of my camera just about up to my eye (I'm 5'11" tall). With legs retracted, it's a reasonable tripod for close-ups and is more stable. Overall, for the price and weight, I'm very pleased with it. I did have a 3 Legged Thing Corey Punks tripod that was rather like this in format, I'd say if anything this is just as well made and maybe more stable. So, as a travel tripod for stills, I've found it to be excellent, to be honest, more than I had expected.

This was the third tripod i bought from this brand in my quest to find the tripod for my needs. i would have liked quick release clamps on the legs but I guess that cost more. Recommend

Initially, I was choosing between two tripods Manfrotto Befree Aluminium Travel Tripod with Ball Head - Black andMeFOTO RoadTrip Convertible Tripod Kit with 5 Section Aluminium Legs - Black. But luckily, I somehow landed on Sirui's website and found out about this product, which was recently announced. Looking at the specs, this was exactly what I wanted. So I decided to give it a try even though there were no reviews on the web.I am quite happy with the product: amazing built quality, rich features of the tripod, and great packaging. But still, there are things which might have been better to be a real 5-star product. When I use it as a monopod, stabilising hook can not be screwed to the leg (you can see it from the picture I attached), so I am afraid I could lose it somehow. Also, foots on the legs have no spikes. Probably both of this lye into the "nitpicking" category, but it would be nice to see this fixed in future iterations of this model.

Tried Andoer and Cullmann - this is in a different class, albeit a little more expensive. If you have invested in a quality dslr, why chance your camera on a cheap tripod? I wanted a quality, solid but lightweight tripod for a trip to Uganda - this is prefect.

Awesome tripod for the price and size. Managed to get it in to my hand luggage without having to leave clothes behind... and I flew Ryanair!

Molto semplice da utilizzare e ottimo nei materiali

This tripod does everything easily. Plus it's super well built, small, and light weight considering the quality. Easily holds my camera upside down for the low-to-the-ground shots, and also quickly becomes a monopod. What's not to like? They've really constructed a terrific tripod here.

Ich war anfangs von den vielen schlechten Bewertungen. Ich bin letztendlich aber das Risiko eingegangen und habe es gekauft. Ich bin besonders überrascht von der enormen Stabilität.Das Stativ ist extrem Wertig verarbeitet und nur vereinzelt aus hochwertigen Kunststoff. Ich sollte aber noch hinzufügen dass ich als Sportfotograf sicherlich nicht so hohe Ansprüche habe wie ein Landschaftsfotograf.

Excellent trépied, avec toutes les fonctions dont j'avais besoin! Il faut juste faire attention de ne pas l'utiliser dans le sable, car ça s'infiltre partout...

Ho confrontato questo treppiede in carbonio con il Rollei compact traveler n.1 carbon.Ho deciso di tenere il Sirui rinunciando alle dimensioni ed al peso leggermente più compatte del Rollei, in quanto quest'ultimo soffre troppo di vibrazioni, credo che basti un po' di vento per avere delle foto mosse. Il Sirui vibra ma molto meno.La testa, dichiarata per supportare fino ad 8 Kg regge perfettamente la mia Nikon D750+14mm Sigma ART.Minimale corredo di accessori: zainetto monospalla e brugole di regolazione.Importante la possibilità di invertire la colonna centrale per fare delle foto rasoterra (cosa invece possibile nel Sirui).La qualità dei materiali è ottima ed il treppiedi è un buon compromesso tra portabilità e leggerezza (pesa circa 1,38 Kg), se avesse avuto le stesse dimensioni del Rollei ne sarei stato ancora più soddisfatto ma forse quei 300g e 3 cm di altezza in più valgono la pena per avere un sistema più stabile.Preso a 109€ venduto da Sirui e spedito da Amazon è un best buy.
