Been using this product for 5 years and eye exams show no negative changes in my macular degeneration.

I found out six or seven years ago that I had second stage dry Macular Degeneration. I have been taking MacuShield for almostthat many years. Started out with Areds but learned that MaxuHealth had an extra ingredient, Meso Zeanithin, so I started usingthat and found my AMD was stable. I found that when I had to reorder, that MacuShield had the same ingredients, but was less expensive. My AMD has not progressed since I was diagnosed with this eye disease. I also take fish oil, Omega 3, and some other over the counter supplements. I never knew I had AMD till a checkup. It is very important to have a yearly eye exam especially after 50. My optometrist and ophthalmologist both agree that all three ingredients in Macushield are essential for eye health. I am on my second order of 6 boxes. I will go for an eye exam this month. Then I may know more about effectiveness. The clinical studies I have read are all positive. They state that the Mezo-Zeaxanthin is particularly important to the health of the macula. Be sure you get all three, Lutein, Zeaxanthin, and Mezo-Zeaxanthin.

Great price for this product. It arrived timely and we checked the SKUs against previous orders from another supplier and it was legit. All original sealed manufacturer packaging. My wife has used this product the past 2 years or so, since "drusen" was revealed on an optic scan. The most recent scan confirmed the drusen had disappeared!

This product was recommended by our eye doctor. Its purpose is to raise the level of macular pigment in eyes. Low macular pigment is one of the causes of macular degeneration. So far, based on our doctor's tests, the levels of pigment in our eyes has increased after taking this product.
