365 Days of Art: A Creative Exercise for Every Day of the Year

Cute book and very interactive. My wife and I had a great time working through the prompts together. It’s simple, creative, and makes it easy to do a little something artistic each day. Really enjoyed using this one.

Love it, wont show you the inside but its very easy and can be very cute if you give it a chance. Good travel size. I use color pencils, markers, and pen sometimes.

I have a degree in visual art and taught art in NYC public middle and high schools. This book is an excellent way to get your creativity back from a long hiatus or if you are just beginning to have an interest in visual arts. There are daily art assignments that develop your creative instincts and challenge your imagination. Since there are 365 of these, you can take a structured approach to do one a day for a year, or do them at your own pace if you do not like structure. If you like these exercises, there are several other editions by the same author. I spent fifteen years in nonprofit management and had lost contact with my art side. I had started out as a commercial illustrator at the beginning of my career, and now, fifty years later, I was afraid to draw again. This book was a true blessing because it eased me back into visual art. As a teacher and commercial illustrator, I highly recommend this book.

This is a great little book for people with a creative block. It calls for using various mediums, the topics are quite varied, and the difficulty levels offer a good variety too. You can spend as much or little time on each page as you want, and it's good for getting you out of your comfort zone. My biggest pet peeve is that the pages are thin. Yes, that keeps it more affordable, but that also means that ink, markers, and other wet mediums can leak through onto the next page. It's not the worst thing in the world, but it is annoying to have an otherwise good doodle marred by what you did on the previous page. I would still recommend this. I don't plan on making a masterpiece so it's not a huge deal for me, just a minor annoyance. But it's worth keeping in mind if you're picky about that sort of thing.

A great little work book to practice brush control without being stressed that it won't be perfect. It's perfect for watercolors, pastel pencils, colored pencils etc. If note it's very helpful to use clear gesso as a primer for medium that will bleed like felt pens or watercolors. i have 4 of the series and i think this one may be my favorite. Delivery was quick and on time and would purchase again from this seller. Loved this book.

I know a few reviews have stated you can’t watercolor paint in this (these) books , but you can. Just don’t expect to wet on wet technique. You have to limit the amount of water you are using. I’ve shown a front & back of both pages that I watercolor painted on. I have also used colored pencils, Tombow dual brush markers, and multiple fine tip pens—all passed the test for me. These books are a great way, for me, to work art into my day without much thought or preparation.
