MAM Medium Flow Bottle Nipple

Ok so these bottles are great. But they do have their nipple flow months wrong. They flow is too fast. My daughter is 4 months and the flow number 2 is perfect for her. I tryed the recommended number flow 3 but it’s waaaaayyyyy to fast she stated choking. So if your purchase this. I’d say size down from the month they are. If that makes sense.

As expected. The stage 1 for my primarily breast feed baby were not flowing fast enough. She is 5 months old and these seem perfect.

We got a MAM starter set (2 small and 2 large bottles) at my baby shower, from our registry (so I had researched and thought MAM would work well). We tried the MAM bottles, and also the Kiinde system with their bottle frames and nipples. My son didn't seem to like the Kiinde nipples at all, so we ditched that concept and went with the traditional bottles using MAM (which probably worked out for the best, since it's more normal for daycare to heat up... but I still pump directly into Kiinde bags which I LOVE). At about 11 weeks, my son wasn't eating as well, so we wanted to try the size 2 nipples, and had one from the starter set. It went well, so we went to the local brick & mortar baby store - and I saw the MAM stuff was on sale for buy 1, get 1 50% off. GREAT! I picked up some more bottles for daycare (which only come with size 1 nipples BTW), and tried to buy enough size 2 nipples, but they only had 1 set (2 pack) left - which I bought (and then discovered that nipples were excluded from the sale anyway, despite all other MAM stuff like bottles and pacifiers being included). I checked inventory at another location, - also sold out. AMAZON TO THE RESCUE! A few days later, I had enough for all the daycare bottles so we can be consistent and don't have to think. My son takes bottles first thing (I sleep all night, so I have to pump first thing or he'd just get foremilk), and bottles at daycare. Starting at 4PM-bedtime, he gets nursed, and on weekends/holidays as much nursing as feasible. He has not had any nipple confusion or issues switching back and forth. He also now loves the MAM pacifiers (before he liked the Soothies - and the MAM seems to stay in his mouth better). Downsides - the size 2 hole is bigger (that's the point), which does mean it can spill droplets if you knock it over. Just be mindful of this :)

We do wildlife rehab, and these fit the flat raccoon mouth perfectly. I love the fact that the Mam bottles can be taken apart so you can get your hand in there to clean them well.

These tops are very durable, however, not a huge fan of the flow rate. It’s definitely too fast for a lot of babies and can negate their feeling of being full because they are eating too fast. Great for a quick feed but would recommend the 0 or 1 of this brand for a safer flow rate.

These were fantastic! I wasn’t familiar with bottle sizes with my first baby but it ended up I really needed these and improved my son’s feeds immensely. Great price and very good quality. Easy to clean. They’re made of quality material and are a good size to fit most bottles.
