Eheim Plastic Hose 3 Meter 12/16 mm

While it is expensive, it is a metric tube diameter, good luck finding that in the United States, it's a direct replacement for the Eheim tubing that came with my filter. I had a quick turnaround to get the filter replumbed and repaired, bit the bullet, purchased, came within a day or two. Great product, would purchase again.

The stock tubing works best for these filters, you may be able find tubing at the hardware store but the stock tubing has thicker sidewalls and hold up to the continuous suction without buckling or introducing chemical into your system.

It works exactly as the original tubing but a little more flexible (probably due to aging of the old tubing). Taught me that I probably should be changing the tubing a little more frequently to maintain its flexibility.

I recently moved my Eheim canister filter to another tank and needed to change hose lengths. I struggled to find tubing at the hardware store close to the metric sizes of this hose. I bit the bullet and bought the original 14/16 mm Eheim hose. It's a bit expensive, but I would rather have good leak-proof fittings than a drips or a flood.

Expensive but use the real thing. If you're settling up any Eheim filter system, use the actual OEM green tubing. It cuts smoothly, seals beautifully, remains pliable pretty well (you DO re-plumb all your hoses every couple of years when they stiffen, right?!), mine has never leaked, and I like the look of the "ugly old fluorescent green Eheim stuff". To me, it has always said "quality German engineering", like Beemer grey! Note - I have seen a handful of terrible reviews of other products such as inline heaters where the person says, "it leaks all over, even with hose clamps!" That is often the result of trying to use standard US 1/2 inch tubing on 12mm metric fittings, such as those on Eheim canisters. It LOOKS half-inch, but it's actually 12/16 mm, this size. If you've got something like that, use the actual right sized metric wrench and you're far less likely than strip the bolt! Or leak water all over. A GREAT deal of aquarium equipment is European and Japanese and Chinese made, and is actually in metric sizes, so do use the right tubing. Proper tubing is definitely less expensive than professional flood damage cleanup and possible eviction if you're a renter...

As advertised fit the ehime 2217 as described would recommend this hose as replacement.

Endlich bekomme ich damit die leeren Schneckenhäuser aus meinem Becken, Der Schlauch ist vielleicht etwas starr, aber ich denke bei der Dicke ist das nicht anders zu handhaben.
