Since replacing a camera lens is far more expensive than buying a UV filter, I decided to get this one—and it was the best decision! The filter fits perfectly on my Sony DSLR lens and provides great protection against dust, dirt, and scratches. It also helps reduce haze in bright outdoor conditions, and best of all, it doesn’t affect image quality—my photos remain sharp and clear. Great value, I recently bought a new camera lens and always fit lenses with a protection filter to stop the front lens from being touched. This Amazon Basics filter is great value when compared to other photography specific brands and I can't any difference in the quality.

These UV filters are great for lens protection. I bought 2 for my Olympus lenses but later realised the smaller lens was 52mm as opposed to 58mm so ordered another to suit.

Great filter at a very reasonable price

Got this for one of my canon lenses to see if amazon basics was good enough to recommend. Well is was not dissapointed, it.s as good as my other UV filters by well known manufactures. So I would certaily recommend it.

Even after watching videos and hearing what people had to say about these filters, I was really unsure about buying one, I didn’t know if it was really necessary and if I’d be wasting money. The main reason I wanted one was to prevent dust from getting on the camera lens and also to protect it from any rain drops that might get on it. I’m glad I bought one, it does protect the camera in the ways mentioned. It could protect from other damage, but I do know these filters are quite fragile and if broken could possibly end up doing more harm than good, but if you’re careful I think it’s a good thing to add on to the camera lens. I like that you can still put your lens cap on too, I thought I would have to remove the filter to do that. The 55mm is a perfect fit for my lumix fz82 and if it makes any difference to picture quality I haven’t really noticed. As for the UV protection, I will have to try it out in different lighting conditions to see if it makes any difference... So 4 stars for now.

Bought this after damaging a protector from another wall known but super expensive brand. This not only met and exceeded my expectations, but I will be buying more for my other lenses. Great product

Il motivo principale per cui l'ho preso è proteggere la lente frontale dell'obiettivo da polvere, dita, spruzzi d'acqua e da graffi o urti accidentali. Preferisco di gran lunga rischiare di rigare un filtro economico rispetto alla lente di un obiettivo costoso. La qualità del vetro sembra buona ma non eccezionale. Non ho riscontrato alcuna perdita di nitidezza nei dettagli o alterazione dei colori. Riduce la componente ultravioletta ma qualche effetto della luce è rimasto. L'anello è realizzato in metallo (alluminio) ed è molto sottile (profilo slim), il che evita il fastidioso effetto vignettatura anche quando si scatta a focali grandangolari. Il filetto è preciso: si avvita fluidamente sull'obiettivo e permette a sua volta di agganciare senza problemi il copriobiettivo originale o un paraluce. Si pulisce molto facilmente con un panno in microfibra. Se cercate una protezione trasparente, efficace ed economica per le vostre lenti da 67 mm, questo filtro è la scelta ideale.
