Q: does this have drawers i know it says no drawers but in the pictures it shows drawers?

mine looked nothing like picture and NO DRAWERS. You pay more for drawers and have to request them.mine arrived withno drawersstrange colour brownish not charcoalsilver mushroom gliders not castersdifferent fixture for base connection

Q: How big is the bed base itself?

The base comes in two pieces. Each measuring 36"× 54" ' and height of base is 15" it's a good sturdy base so would recommend. Hope this helps :)
