Golden Acrylic Medium, Glazing Liquid, 32 Oz, Satin

There are so many glazing mediums on the market, and trying to figure out which one to buy can honestly feel overwhelming. I needed something to dilute metallic glaze for a furniture project, and after a lot of research, I decided to go with this one from Golden Artist Colors. I’m happy to say it was a great choice. The consistency is absolutely perfect. It adds working time, smooths out application, and helps create a beautiful semi-transparent finish without streaking or buildup. It blends easily and gives you time to really finesse the look. For my project, I mixed it 3:1 with a metallic antiquing glaze from Heirloom Traditions Paint to create a subtle, shimmery effect on the top of a desk. It worked fantastically. The finish came out soft, elegant, and professional looking. One thing that really impressed me is that I accidentally left my mixture out overnight, and it was still perfectly usable the next day. No drying, no weird texture, no waste. This glazing medium is easy to use, very flexible for different applications, and helps you achieve a beautiful, custom finish. If you do furniture refinishing or decorative painting, this is a product worth having in your studio. I’m definitely happy with it and will keep using it for future projects.

Well, first I definitely love Golden products. The gold are acrylic medium glazing. Nobody should be without it. Glazing is one of the most important parts I believe putting on a pain when you want to make something stand out more. I really love this stuff. Trying time last a little longer gives you more time to paint the color I use are ones that are translucent. Very easy to use you just mixing into your translucent. Paint application is great. Wipe it off if you don’t like it it works great.

Perfect for faux paint finishing my walls. It goes a long way- I didn't need near as much as I thought.

This is a great product for glazing and creating depth. I used it to create Rothko-like acrylic paintings. It doesn’t take much. I used an approximate ratio of 1/3 glazing, 1/3 acrylic fluid paint, 1/3 water. Mix well. The layers laid down beautifully. Don’t rush the process. When glazing, let each layer dry thoroughly before laying on another thin layer. Brushes clean easily with soap and water.

I wanted to achieve an absolutely streakless semi transparent layering on top of my paintings with acrylic. I realised that this is very hard to do and there wasn’t much information about how to achieve this type of layering with acrylic paint. After countless trial and errors, I mixed one part Golden glazing liquid with one part water mixed with the acrylic paint of your choice, the water makes the liquid less viscous and significantly reduces streaking. However the product is quite expensive and I’m not sure how much better it is than using Mod Podge for the same purpose.

I like it better than matte medium. You can also use it to thin acrylic paint. Gives a bit of sheen… but not too much. But it in bulk and use a funnel to put it in a smaller bottle. Very easy to clean off hands. It’s a bit pricey… but less pricey than many mediums. Love this product!

Usual great quality from Golden. I like this for collage as it does not grap instantly, gives you time to change your mind. Dries perfectly clear so marks made on tissue show up and tissue melts into background.

Für mich das beste (recht flüssige) Acrylmedium, vor allem, da es nicht so an der Haut klebt, wie andere!
