Fox Outdoor Products Small A.L.I.C.E. Field Pack

Quality is good however this pack is extremely small, so small in fact that it will not properly fit on the alice pack frame sold by FOX, that is why I dropped the first star. You can force it on the frame(it fits up top, but leaves half of the frame exposed and straps are to short to fasten to bottom, where its supposed to be fastened to), but honestly it is so small that there is no need for a frame as it would be impossible to pack it heavy enough to need the use of a frame. This is not the same size as the old issue small alice pack and is why I dropped the second star, it would be a good book bag for a 7 year old boy. If you took this to work you would probably be made fun of.

Pack is way smaller than i expected. If you are bigger size it will look goofy on your back. Material is good but not real tough. Not mil spec. Ok for a hike or going fishing. Wouldn't recommend as wilderness survival pack or bug out bag.

The other reviews that compain about this bag being to small, they aren't kiding. This bag is small. It is a perfect size for a book bag or a get home bag. When putting books in it, it really can't fit much, but it fits a very surprising amount of gear. I was able to fit most of my b.o.b. Gear in this tiny pack. It is about two inches taller and about an inch and a half wider than a bimder that you would use to file papers and such. The pictures on here for the olive drab color makes it look like it is tan but it is indeed green, but more of a folloage green than olive. The material is good but its not canvas. Does not seem like the stitching or cloth with tear anytime soon, it is very well made though made in china. This is litterally a scalled down version of the full alice so it has the pocket to install a frame but I highly doubt this would fit one. Like all aloce packs, the straps are a bit of a hassle, especially adjusting the shoulder straps but overall this is a great rucksack.

Product is not made to military spec and is too small anyone other than a small hobbit.

I purchased the ACU Digital Camouflage thinking I would it a different color, however, the pack actually looks kinda nice. Not too outstanding, or bright colored. The stitching could be reinforced, but since I'm not going to be performing military exercises, or rolling on the ground with it, this pack will do just fine for hiking/backpacking. The design seems to be exactly the same as the military issue ones, but these packs are better because they're brand new, and you don't have to wonder about the condition of the pack you're going to receive like when you order used packs. Material is not canvas, but rather, thick polyester. Lightweight, so better than canvas, especially when hiking long distances with a load. Dimensions of the pack are as stated, and it fits perfectly on my Alice frame. Has metal buckles, not plastic, and strong webbing. I purchased from vendor, Fox Outdoors (again), and they sell you e xactly what they describe...a good company in my humble opinion. Medium Alice pack is the perfect size, especially when you get older and can't carry as much weight as when you're young. A good product.

This is well build, but not 14.5 x 12 x 7. Its 14.5 x 12 x 2 plus the front pockets which are very skinny. Everything else is nice on the pack and the whole thing is put together well. I just kinda thought it would be a little bigger. This is more like a giant purse. It doesn't feel like a backpack

Bag seems to be well made. I like the way it fastens. No zippers at all. My biggest pet peeve about buying items made of fabrics these days is that the zippers often fail, rendering the item useless. I once bought a really nice leather jacket at a higher end store. I had worn the jacket about two months, off and on, and the zipper got all out of whack. I took it to Gene Stallings's tailor in Birmingham, who had a shop near where I worked, and he kept it for a week, but didn't touch it. He said that it would cost more to replace the zipper than it would to just buy a new jacket. I HATE zippers, and this bag has NONE. Easy to use. Holds enough stuff to carry on a hunt without being bulky. Carrying tree stand, gun, bag, and other items can be a drag. This bag is the perfect size.

Good gear bag for rain gear, some eats for a hunt & canned refreshments. Not as strong as expected, but will do the light carry of gear. Mine arrived missing lower shoulder strap attaching sliders, but easy to replace. Would NOT recommend for a BoB bag.
