Bought for a 5 years old.Made with wood.Marbles have a nice color too and are made with glass.My child love it and we spent hours playing with together or alone.Still like new some years after.Pocket to tidy up the marbles to don't lose them.Circle around to deposit the marbles during the game.Not too small, not to big. Not too light, not too heavy.Perfect size.We love it!

This solitaire game arrived in good time and was well packaged. It is very good value for money and I just love it. I have wanted to get one of these games for ages as I had one when I was a child. However I couldn't find one to buy in any of the shops I tried, so I bought this on line and I am so glad I did. It's brilliant and I think would suit most ages, except small children because of the marbles and the risk of swallowing them but otherwise a brilliant game. The wood is very smooth and solid but not heavy and together with the blue marbles it is pleasing on the eye. I love it but still haven't succeeded in "winning" yet.

Bought this for the grandchildren to play with but have actually just spent a couple of hours with it myself! Plain wood base, I'd have preferred this to be slightly heavier but seems fine as it is. The finish in the dips and the rim is very very slightly rough but I think this is just the nature of this wood rather than poor finishing as there are no splinters. The dips are just deep enough to stop the balls becoming dislodged and the rim around the edge collects the discarded marbles as you play the game. The marbles are exactly as you remember from years ago, with the precise colour depending on the angle you look at them and the light (see photos). A lovely game from my childhood and my daughter was excited to see it again too, not quite sure when the grandchildren will be allowed to play!

This solitaire was purchased for my niece's 9th Birthday as recently her Uncle showed her how to do solitaire. The game itself is durable, very nice to look at and lots of fun to play with. However, I feel that I must comment on the extortionate delivery price that I was charged by Just Childsplay for Expedited delivery .... £9.95 (which was actually more than the game when I purchased). I probably placed the order in haste as I was trying to make sure she got her presents on her birthday but I have never ever been charged that much for speedy delivery. AND, after all that, the present did not arrive in time, it arrived a day late. I have complained to Just Childsplay but unfortunately they have fulfilled their estimated delivery time period of 3 days! I wrote this review so that you would be aware, please READ THE SMALL PRINT and check the PRICE which I will be sure to do in future.

Visitors love playing this as it's left on the lounge coffee table.Worth the price for the quality

This is a well made game! Size, functionality and fun !

I found a wooden solitaire in a charity shop many moons ago. My grandson has recently taken an interest in it and is thrilled to beat his score at getting the bulls off the board. I bought this for him to have at his own house and I'm thrilled that it is of good quality. The marbles are heavier than the wooden bulls on my old one which means they stay put when he places them. Good wee game, good quality, good price. Well pleased :-)
