This oil filter is great for my wife's MX5. The placement on the car is difficult to get to with a normal oil wrench. So the nut on the bottom of this makes it easy to get off.

An excellent product. Spins on easily without cross-threading, unlike the other, much cheaper, brand of oil filter I had been using previously. The welded nut makes removal of the filter so easy. Such a simple idea so why has no one else thought of this before? A bit more expensive than other filters but well worth it. I have now purchased this for the last two annual services on my MGB and will most likely purchase again next year.

Bought for my FiST..... cant say I have noticed any difference between genuine Ford and Mann but it fits well, no leaks, no oil pressure warning so I just hope its doing a better job behind the scenes with my engine. Ps I do rag the ride quite often so Im hoping the K&N name is providing me with the protection they promise

Good quality oil filter. Should be easy to remove with the spanner too. Never screw this on with the aid of a spanner or socket though.

Excellent replacement filter for ford focus ST 250, makes removing and reinstalling so much easier.

Best filter

K&N market this filter as interchangeable with the Hiflo HF177. It is NOT. If you're working with a confined space it's noticeably larger and will not fit. The K&N is about 8mm greater in diameter and 15mm longer than the Hiflo item. The only similarity is that the screw fitting is the same as the HF177 and they're both round.

I was going to say it's performed better than Fram did, but honestly, who knows. I change my oil and filters frequently and don't listen to any advertised "lasts 200,000 miles!" claims... I change every 5,000 miles. No more, no less. It's like Goldilocks! Just right! All I know, is this K&N filter has a more elegant design on it, and it's from a brand that makes good air filters for your engine, and that convinced me to buy an oil filter from them too. Now that I write this, I am interested if it actually does any better, so here's what I was able to find on the interwebs: People say it's generally a cheap filter, and that you should stick to OEM, so I think I will follow that advice too in the future, that being said, keep an eye out on other filter listings to see if I leave a review on something else... On to find the world's best oil filter for my 2016 Mazda 3 Sport!
