Tastes amazing
Love it very sweet tea, great without adding anything additional. The tea has amazing qualities that I am hoping to see results soon with my wife (ADHD) and dad (DEMENTIA) This is what AI had to say about it. Mountain tea (specifically Sideritis scardica) is increasingly being studied for its neuroprotective and "nootropic" (cognitive-enhancing) effects. Unlike many stimulants, its benefits appear to be cumulative, often peaking after consistent use. โHere is a breakdown of its cognitive health benefits based on current research: โ1. Improved Memory and Learning โResearch, particularly from German institutions like the University of Magdeburg, has shown that Sideritis extracts can enhance memory and learning. In animal models, it was found to improve spatial working memory and help reduce the formation of amyloid-beta plaques, which are hallmark indicators of Alzheimer's disease. โ2. Neurotransmitter Support โMountain tea contains compounds that act as triple monoamine reuptake inhibitors. This means it helps maintain higher levels of three key neurotransmitters in the brain: โDopamine: Influences attention, motivation, and pleasure. โSerotonin: Regulates mood and reduces anxiety. โNoradrenaline: Associated with alertness and mental energy. By keeping these chemicals active in the brain for longer, the tea may help improve focus and alleviate symptoms of ADHD and mild depression. โ3. Increased Cerebral Blood Flow โClinical studies have used near-infrared spectroscopy to show that consuming Sideritis increases oxygenated hemoglobin and blood flow to the prefrontal cortexโthe area of the brain responsible for complex planning, decision-making, and social behavior. This boost in oxygen and nutrients helps the brain process information more quickly. โ4. Stress and Anxiety Reduction โUnlike coffee, which can cause jitters, mountain tea has a calming effect. It has been shown to reduce "state anxiety" (temporary feelings of stress) during cognitively demanding tasks. This allows for better "cognitive endurance"โthe ability to stay focused and productive for longer periods without mental fatigue. โ5. Protection Against Age-Related Decline โBecause it is rich in flavonoids and polyphenols, mountain tea acts as a powerful antioxidant for the brain. It helps protect neurons from oxidative stress and inflammation, which are primary drivers of cognitive decline as we age.

Perfect in quality and taste!
Perfect in flavor and in quality! It tastes like my childhood. I can assure anyone this is authetic. Most Mediterranean teas are picked for boiling not steeping. To steep it must be ground up and usually becomes very fluffy. Just put about a tablespoon of ground tea in your cup add water and let it steep for 3 to 5 min. strain and drink.

Good, but lots of stems
My daughter brought me back a small package of Greek mountain tea when she went to Greece last year. I loved it with lemon and honey, so I ordered a bag. This one is good, but it seems to have lots of stems. I make all of my loose teas right in the cup, rather than in a tea strainer. If you use a tea strainer it probably wonโt be an issue for you.

You get what you pay for
Yes, it is way cheaper than some competitors, and it is passable - definitely the same Sideritis plant and a familiar taste. However, the content of these packages was obviously treated way more aggressively while processing and packaging than what I have been used to from different brands. As a result most of the package content are small specks pressed into dusty clumps, rather than several inches long hardy branches with buds and leaves still attached as I was used to.

This beats all the other ones
So fresh, very aromatic, and superb quality. Not going back to the other brand I was buying!

Seriously yummy! Is said to have health benefits too.
I enjoy the lightly sweet and floral flavor, similar to camomile but different. This product comes with flowers, flower buds, stems, and some leaves. My suggestion is to use a bullet blender or food processor and pulse to โshredโ it. This will result in a very fluffy mass. I then bag it up and pull out a lea ball worth. Now this does have a drawback. The fluff wants to float. So it needs submerged physically. But on the upside I get all the flavor in my cup and use a fraction of the product that I need for the same effect straight out of the cup. And in theory all those lovely benefits are more completely infused into my tea as well.
