Could not get SWR DOWN. Lowest I could get was just over 3 in other words in the RED. Plus my Cobra 29 now won't TX or Rx. I guess spending hours trying to sort SWR being in the RED has knackered my rig. Not happy obviously. I have a few rigs thankfully but my 29 Was my favourite. Been furious for a day now.

Carefully inspected, mounted and tested, thus antenna has SWR over 3.2 all bands CB 1-20-40. Continuity and resistance tested and all looks ok. This is awful trouble, useless and to be avoided

Arrived very poorly put together. I bought this for the old man's lorry for 27Mhz. The power rating is 400watts, setting the swr on the radio on my Yaesu ft757 gx2 @ 70watts I could smell glue and plastic melting (this is on 28Mhx testing the antenna beforehand, I have an A ham licence, or now 'full' as it's been altered to). The coil had become almost red hot, the plastic base had melted and the antenna flopped over, clearly NOT rated anywhere near 400w!!! But I'm sure it'll handle 4watts for 27Mhz, not great at all! Incredibly disappointed on what appeared to be a decent antenna reading around online. Also the magmount doesn't hold particularly well!M0*** Tony
